Image forming apparatus and method for measuring toner charge

A human body detection device detects whether a human body is present within a predetermined distance from an apparatus equipped with the human body detection device. The device includes a sensor, a threshold processing unit, and a sensor control unit. The sensor is configured to sense infrared to sequentially output a plurality of detection values. The threshold processing unit is configured to perform averaging and weighted averaging on the detection values to obtain a weighted average value of the detection values, and set a threshold based on the weighted average value of the detection values. The sensor control unit is configured to determine that the human body is present within the predetermined distance from the apparatus when a detection value output from the sensor exceeds the set threshold.

Human body detection device and image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, a conveyance unit, a correction unit, and an attitude controller. The image forming device forms an image on a printing medium. The conveyance unit is disposed opposing the image forming device to convey the printing medium. The correction unit corrects an attitude of a leading edge of the printing medium sent out from the conveyance unit. The attitude controller controls correction of the attitude of the leading edge of the punting medium performed by the correction unit. The attitude controller determines whether or not the correction of the attitude of the leading edge of the printing medium is to be performed, and causes the correction unit to perform the correction when the attitude controller determines that the correction is to be performed.

Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus for receiving a printing instruction of image data and forming an image according to the printing instruction includes a wireless communication device, an input unit, and a connector storage portion. The wireless communication device is disposed at a body of the image forming apparatus and has a cable and an output connector. The input unit has a wireless connection port to connect the output connector via the cable and a wired connection port to connect a wired cable from an external device. The input unit receives a printing instruction from any one of the wireless connection port and the wired connection port. The connector storage portion stores the output connector removed from the wireless connection port when the wireless communication device is not used. The connector storage portion, the wireless connection port, and the wired connection port are concentrated in one location.
