There is provided a vehicle seat including: a seat main body having a major surface facing a user seated; a first air passage extending from an air conditioning device of a vehicle toward the seat main body so as to guide air from the air conditioning device to the seat main body; an outlet communicating with the first air passage and opened toward a first region of the major surface through the seat main body; a second air passage having an inlet which is opened toward a second region of the major surface through the seat main body so as to suck air from the second region; and a blower configured to suck air in the second air passage.

There is provided a vehicle seat including: a seat main body having a major surface facing a user seated; a first air passage extending from an air conditioning device of a vehicle toward the seat main body so as to guide air from the air conditioning device to the seat main body; an outlet provided to a side portion of the seat main body and opened so that air from the first air passage is blown out along the side portion of the seat main body; a second air passage having an inlet opened toward the major surface so that air blown out from the outlet is sucked from the major surface; and a blower configured to suck air in the second air passage.

A vehicle air-conditioning seat comprising a blower and a heater therein, wherein at least one of a temperature adjustment region whose temperature is configured to be adjusted by the blower and a temperature adjustment region whose temperature is configured to be adjusted by the heater is divided into a plurality of regions, wherein the vehicle air-conditioning seat has a cool mode where temperature adjustment is performed only by the blower, a heat mode where the temperature adjustment is performed only by the heater, and a mixed mode where the temperature adjustment is performed by both of the blower and the heater, and wherein, in the mixed mode, the temperature adjustment is performed for each divided region by varying at least one of a blowing amount by the blower and a heating amount by the heater for each divided region.

Vehicle air-conditioning seat

A method and a structure of electrically connecting a conductive fiber in fabric to an external device electrically connects the conductive fiber to the external device by pressing a conductive member that is electrically connected to the external device against the fabric.

Conductive fiber connecting method and structure

A connection end portion of a inner member is provided with engagement projections and a connection end portion of a stay is formed with reception grooves that are capable of axially receiving the engagement projections. When operation cable is axially inserted into a cylindrical support, the engagement projections are axially received in insertion grooves and are retained in terminal end positions thereof that are bent in a circumferential direction. When the stay is axially inserted into the cylindrical support in this condition, the engagement projections are axially received in the reception grooves and move to terminal end positions thereof that are bent in an opposite circumferential direction. As a result, the operation cable is positioned in an axial connection condition in which the operation cable is suspended in the stay.

Cable connection structure

A seat cushion covering structure includes a fabric seat cushion cover into which conductive fibers, electrically connected at one end to a conductive member, are woven, and a groove, which is formed in the seat cushion and into which the fabric seat cushion cover is tucked. The conductive member is provided in the groove.

Seat cushion covering structure

A headrest moving mechanism includes linking members that links a support portion and a headrest base portion to each other; and elongated holes formed in the headrest base portion. The elongated holes slidably receive a connection shaft provided to the support portion, thereby determining a postural position of the support portion. The elongated holes are shaped so as to move the support portion forwardly and upwardly with respect to the headrest base portion from an initial position in a time before the vehicle back-side collision happens to a collision preparatory position as the linking members are rotated.

A vehicle seat is provided. The vehicle seat includes a sheet-like sensor member, a sheet-like electric device, and a seat main body configuring a sitting portion and including therein the sensor member and the electric device while overlapping each other. The electric device is provided between a pad member which forms a cushion element of the seat main body and a skin cover which covers an outer surface side of the pad member, and the sensor member is provided between the electric device and the skin cover. The electric device is formed with a through hole, so that a measuring circuit unit which is wired and connected to the sensor member is provided in an inner surface side of the electric device, and the measuring circuit unit is accommodated in a recessed portion formed in the pad member.

An operation cable has an operational structure in which an inner member inserted into a tubular outer member is pulled from a lower end side thereof. The operation cable having a double layer structure is axially connected to a double layer cable that is constructed from a stay of a headrest and a push rod inserted into the tubular stay. In particular, the stay is inserted into a support positioned on an upper portion of the seat back, a lower end of the stay and an upper end of the inner member are axially connected to each other, so that a lower end of the push rod in the tubular stay and a head portion of the outer member are positioned closer to each other. As a result, the push rod can be pushed by the head portion of the outer member when the operation cable is pulled.

A vehicle seat includes a cushion frame having conductivity; a cushion pad coveringly mounted on the cushion frame; and a cushion cover configured to cover the cushion pad. First thread members having conductive fibers are interwoven into the cushion cover. A capacitance measurer is provided to the vehicle seat to measure capacitance between the cushion frame and the conductive fibers.

It is one object of the present invention to provide a control for moving a head rest in response to a signal from a sensor detecting a distance between the head rest and a head of a passenger, in which even if the head of the passenger moves within a predetermined range, the head rest can be prevented from moving depending on the motion of the head of the passenger so as to remove discomfort for the passenger. Therefore, the present invention has a construction as follows. A head rest control system in which a head rest of a seat of a vehicle is constructed to be moved back and forth by a head rest moving mechanism may include a sensor detecting a distance between the head rest and a head of a passenger, and a control device controllably actuating the head rest moving mechanism. The control device is constructed to actuate the head rest moving mechanism when the distance between the head rest and the head detected by the sensor is outside of a proper range of clearance in which it is possible to deal with a back-side collision of the vehicle, thereby moving the head rest to a proper position in which it is possible to deal with the back-side collision of the vehicle.

Head rest control systems

A head rest device that improves reliability of detecting a head on the basis of a change in capacitance without complicating a wiring structure. A head rest device is provided with a head rest rear portion configured to be supported to a seat back, and a head rest front portion freely moving forward and backward between a fully-closed position coming close to the head rest rear portion and a fully-open position separated from the head rest rear portion. The head rest front portion is moved by an actuator. The head rest front portion has a sensor electrode structured such that its capacitance is changed as a head of an occupant approaches, and an ECU controlling the actuator so as to move the head rest front portion and detecting the approach of the head of the occupant on the basis of a change of the capacitance of the sensor electrode thereon.

Head rest device

A head rest of a vehicle seat may include a head support portion for supporting a head of a passenger, and a drive unit for moving the head support portion. The drive unit has a moving mechanism that is arranged and constructed to move the head support portion toward and away from the passenger head, an actuator for actuating the moving mechanism, a load detecting device that can detect a load applied to the actuator and generate a control signal representative of the detected load, and a controller that can control the actuator so as to control the moving mechanism. The controller controls the moving mechanism so as to move the head support portion toward the passenger head. The controller controls the moving mechanism based on the control signal so as to stop the motion of the head support portion.

Head rests

A headrest device includes a fixed base, a movable base disposed forward relative to the fixed base, at least one first link being rotatably supported by a connecting shaft provided between the movable base and the fixed base, at least one second link being supported by the connecting shaft so as to rotate relative to the first link, a connection portion connecting the movable base and the fixed base to be relatively movable by a relative rotation between the first link and the second link, a drive portion relatively rotating the first link and the second link in a direction so as to deploy the movable base away from the fixed base on the basis of a detected result by a rear-end collision detection means, and at least one relative rotation restricting portion provided for restricting a relative rotation between the first link and the second link about the connecting shaft.

Headrest device

A head rest of a vehicle seat may include a head support portion for supporting a head of a passenger, and a drive unit for moving the head support portion. The drive unit has a moving mechanism that is arranged and constructed to move the head support portion vertically and back and forth relative to the vehicle seat, a head detecting device provided to the head support portion so as to detect a clearance between the passenger head and the head support portion and to generate a control signal representative of the detected clearance, and a controller that can control the moving mechanism. The controller controls the moving mechanism so as to move the head support portion to a first proximity position in which the head detecting device may have a predetermined sensitivity relative to passenger head if the head support portion does not reach the first proximity position. The controller further controls the moving mechanism based on the control signal from the head detecting device so as to move the head support portion to a second proximity position which corresponds to an optimal proximity position relative to the passenger head.
