According to one embodiment, a merchandise reading apparatus is equipped with a storage chamber formed of a radio wave shielding member and a reading apparatus which reads information of a radio tag from merchandise attached with the radio tag and stored in the storage chamber, and at least a part of the storage chamber is formed of a light transmitting member.

Merchandise reading apparatus and merchandise information processing apparatus

An article input device includes a processor. The processor acquires identification information read from a wireless tag by a reading unit installed in a first carrier carrying an article. The processor registers the acquired identification information in a first list when the acquired identification information is not registered in a second list in which identification information read from a wireless tag by a second reading unit installed in a second carrier carrying an article is registered. The processor causes a display on the first carrier to output a notification when the acquired identification information is registered in the second list.

Article input device and article input system

A reading apparatus is configured to communicate with a wireless tag attached to an object. The reading apparatus includes a container having a plurality of side walls and an opening such that the object can be placed through the opening, an antenna at a bottom of the container, configured to transmit and receive radio waves to and from the wireless tag, and a plurality of reflective elements arranged in the side walls so that the radio waves radiated from the antenna and reflected by the reflective elements do not leak through the opening to the outside.

Reading apparatus

A wireless tag reading apparatus includes an antenna, an actuator, a phase detector, and a processor. The actuator is configured to move the antenna along a predetermined effective detection region. The processor is configured to calculate a first phase difference based on a phase of a response wave signal received by the antenna at a first plurality of antenna positions, and a second phase difference based on the phase of the response wave signal received by the antenna at a second plurality of antenna positions. The processor is configured to calculate first and second incident angles of the response wave signal for the antenna at the first and second plurality of antenna positions, respectively, based on the first and second phase differences, respectively. The processor is configured to determine whether or not the wireless tag is in the predetermined effective detection region based on the first and second incident angles.

Wireless tag reading apparatus

The antenna device in one embodiment of the present invention includes a conductor ground plate, a first antenna portion, a switch, and a plurality of second antenna portions. The above described switch is connected between the above described conductor ground plate and the above described first antenna portion. The above described plurality of second antenna portions are arranged at positions at which the second antenna portions can be capacitively coupled to the above described first antenna portion.

Antenna device

According to one embodiment, an antenna device includes a branch circuit, a first phase shifter, a second phase shifter and a radiating element. The branch circuit divides an input signal and generates a first signal and a second signal. The first phase shifter is capable of shifting a phase of the first signal. The second phase shifter is capable of shifting a phase of the second signal. The radiating element transmits a right-hand circularly polarized wave based on a first output signal of the first phase shifter and transmits a left-hand circularly polarized wave based on a second output signal of the second phase shifter.
