A cluster-supporting catalyst including porous carrier particles having acid sites, and catalyst metal clusters supported within the pores of the porous carrier particles. The catalyst metal clusters are obtained by supporting catalyst metal clusters having a positive charge, which is formed in a dispersion liquid containing a dispersion medium and the porous carrier particles dispersed in the dispersion medium, on the acid sites within the pores of the porous carrier particles through an electrostatic interaction.

Cluster supported catalyst and production method therefor

A cluster-supporting catalyst including porous carrier particles having acid sites, and catalyst metal clusters supported within the pores of the porous carrier particles. In the cluster-supporting catalyst including porous carrier particles having acid sites, and catalyst metal clusters supported within the pores of the porous carrier particles, the catalyst metal may be rhodium, the catalyst metal may be palladium, the catalyst metal may be platinum, or the catalyst metal may be copper.

There is provided a cluster-supporting porous carrier having improved heat resistance and/or catalytic activity, and a method for producing it. The cluster-supporting porous carrier of the invention has porous carrier particles () such as zeolite particles, and metal oxide clusters () supported within the pores of the porous carrier particles. The method of the invention for producing the cluster-supporting porous carrier includes providing a dispersion containing a dispersing medium () and porous carrier particles dispersed in the dispersing medium, forming positively charged metal oxide clusters () in the dispersion, and supporting the metal oxide clusters within the pores of the porous carrier particles () by electrostatic interaction.

Cluster-supporting porous carrier and method for producing same

A method for producing a cluster-supporting catalyst, the cluster-supporting catalyst including porous carrier particles that has acid sites, and catalyst metal clusters supported within the pores of the porous carrier particles, includes the following steps: providing a dispersion liquid containing a dispersion medium and the porous carrier particles dispersed in the dispersion medium; and in the dispersion liquid, forming catalyst metal clusters having a positive charge, and supporting the catalyst metal clusters on the acid sites within the pores of the porous carrier particles through an electrostatic interaction.

An improved cluster-supporting catalyst has heteroatom-removed zeolite particles, and catalyst metal clusters supported within the pores of the heteroatom-removed zeolite particles. A method for producing a cluster-supporting catalyst includes the following steps: providing a dispersion liquid containing a dispersion medium and the heteroatom-removed zeolite particles dispersed in the dispersion medium; and in the dispersion liquid, forming catalyst metal clusters having a positive charge, and supporting the catalyst metal clusters within the pores of the heteroatom-removed zeolite particles through an electrostatic interaction.

Cluster supported catalyst and method for producing same

Cluster-supporting catalyst having an improved heat resistivity, and method for producing the same are provided. The cluster-supporting catalyst includes boron-substitute zeolite particles, and catalyst metal clusters supported within the pores of the boron-substitute zeolite particles. The method for producing a cluster-supporting catalyst, includes the following steps: providing a dispersion liquid containing a dispersion medium and boron-substitute zeolite particles dispersed in the dispersion medium; and in the dispersion liquid, forming catalyst metal clusters having a positive charge, and supporting the catalyst metal clusters on the acid sites within the pores of the boron-substitute zeolite particles through an electrostatic interaction.

Cluster-supporting catalyst and process for producing the same

A system for measuring amounts of particulates exhausted from a vehicle internal combustion engine, such as a diesel engine, has a dilution tunnel into which exhaust gas is introduced and mixed with and diluted by clear air. One part of the diluted gas is introduced into a first sampling arrangement in which a first filter is provided for collecting particulates of dry soot and another part of the diluted gas is introduced into a second sampling arrangement in which a second filter is provided for collecting particulates of soluble organic fraction (SOF). The amounts of dry soot and SOF are calculated in a real time manner in accordance with the pressure drops across the filters on the basis of the time differential of the signals output from pressure transducers provided for each filter.

System for measuring amount of particulates exhausted from vehicle engine

A compressor bypass passage has an inlet portion and an outlet portion which is connected to the suction passage. The inlet portion of the bypass passage has an opening which is able to be open to the compression chamber when the compression chamber is in a decreasing volume stroke, thereby to spill the refrigerant from the compression chamber into the suction passage. A control pressure chamber is formed in the housing. A valve member is arranged in the inlet portion of the bypass passage. The valve member is actuated in response to a variety of pressures of the refrigerant in the control pressure chamber for adjusting the area of the opening of the inlet portion of the bypass passage. A pressure supply passage for supplying a refrigerant, which pressure is higher than the pressure in the suction passage, is connected to the control pressure chamber. A spill passage for spilling a part of the refrigerant interconnects the control pressure chamber to the suction passage. A pressure control valve is arranged in the pressure supply passage or in the spill passage for controlling the pressure in the control pressure chamber.

Compressor

A rotary compressor is provided with a rotary valve arranged rotatably in the housing unit. The rotary valve is partially exposed to an interior space of the housing unit. The interior space is divided into a plurality of variable working spaces. A return port is formed in the rotary valve for feeding a cooling medium into an inlet port from the working space. A quantity of the cooling medium discharged from the working space through an outlet port is changed in accordance with the rotation of the rotary valve controlled by the actuator.

Rotary compressor

A rotary vane type compressor provided with a rotor member arranged eccentrically in the cylindrical housing. Vane plates are radially slidably arranged in the rotor member, so that the vane plates always contact an inner cylindrical surface of the housing. Valve means are provided for a positive close-off of the supply of oil during non-operation of the compressor while maintaining a supply of oil in a necessary amount during operation of the compressor. The compressor further includes an oil reservoir arranged in the rotor member for storing an amount of oil to be directed to a pair of bearing units.

Rotary vane type compressor

A rotary compressor formed with an unloading port maintaining a working space in communication with a suction chamber and opened and closed by a valve, to vary the capacity of the compressor. The internal pressure of the working space is sensed in a compression stroke or this pressure and the pressure of a fluid drawn by suction are both sensed, so as to open and close the valve based on the sensed internal pressure of the working space or the pressure differential between the internal pressure of the working space and the pressure of the fluid drawn by suction, to give suitable hysteresis to the operation characteristics of the on-off valve to stabilize the operation of the on-off valve.

A rotary compressor includes a cylindrical-shaped housing, a rotor rotatably mounted in the housing and formed with diametrically extending slits, and a pair of movable vanes each slidably disposed in each of the slits with its opposite ends extending beyond the associated slit in abutting relation to the inner surface of the housing. The clearances between the movable vanes and the slits of the rotor are made larger about the central portion of the rotor than adjacent to the outer periphery thereof by making each of the vanes thinner about its central portion than at its opposite end portions or making each of the slits wider about the central portion of the rotor than adjacent to the outer periphery of the rotor. With the arrangement, shearing stresses caused by shearing of oil in the compressor can be suppressed to thereby reduce a loss in the torque of the compressor, and the maximum stress on the movable vanes can be limited below an allowable stress to improve the anti-breakage characteristics of the vanes.

A rotary compressor including a housing having therethrough a cylindrical bore, end plates attached to the housing to close the open axial ends of the bore respectively, an eccentric rotor rotatable in the bore and vanes slidably mounted in the rotor. A working chamber defined between the adjacent pair of vanes communicates with a discharge chamber outside of the housing through a discharge opening in the wall of the housing. First and second passages have their respective one ends opening to the cylindrical bore and the respective other ends communicating with the discharge chamber. The one end of the first passage is positioned at a location or adjacent thereto where the leading one of the adjacent pair of vanes is positioned when the working chamber defined therebetween has its volume starting to decrease. The one end of the second passage is positioned at a location where the one end of the second passage together with the discharge opening is opened to one of the discharge chambers with the latter having its volume decreased and communicating with the discharge opening. First and second check valves respectively in the passages are opened only when the working chambers respectively associated with the passages have therein pressures higher than respective predetermined values.
