An information apparatus includes a display, a back face cover, and a support member. The display covers a face opposite to a display surface of the display. The support member fills a space between the face opposite to the display surface of the display and an inner face of the back-face cover.

An electronic apparatus includes: a first chassis having a keyboard mounted thereon; a second chassis having a display mounted thereon; a third chassis adjacent to end portions of the first chassis and the second chassis; a first hinge connecting the first chassis with the second chassis in a relatively rotatable manner; a torque mechanism section that is disposed in the first hinge and imparts predetermined rotational torque to a rotation between the first chassis and the second chassis; a second hinge connecting the third chassis to the first chassis in a relatively rotatable manner; and a lock section that locks the third chassis placed at an attitude protruding from the end portions of the first chassis and the second chassis with respect to the second chassis at the 0-degree attitude such that the lock section restricts a rotation of the third chassis by the second hinge.

A portable information device includes a display extending over a first chassis and a second chassis, and a bezel disposed straddling over an outer edge of the display and a chassis frame, adjacent to the outer edge, of the first chassis and the second chassis and having a bending part. The bending part includes a first member and a second member. The first member includes first and second side portions. The first side portion is fixed to a front face of the outer edge and the second side portion is disposed to be relatively movable with respect to the chassis frame, in a width direction straddling over the outer edge and the chassis frame of the first chassis and the second chassis. The second member is fixed to a front face of the first member and made of a material more flexible than that of the first member.

Portable information device

An electronic apparatus includes: a chassis having lateral surfaces including a frame and a rear surface including a glass plate supported by the frame; and a display having a display surface facing a front surface of the chassis. The frame includes a frame-shaped outer wall defining the lateral surfaces of the chassis; and a glass support that protrudes from the outer wall towards in inward direction of the frame. The glass support extends along an edge of the glass plate and includes a missing part that is a divided portion. The electronic apparatus further includes a metal plate that is thinner than a portion of the glass support adjacent to the divided portion. The metal plate is fixed to the frame, supplements the divided portion, and supports the glass plate together with the glass support.

A chassis member is used for an electronic device, including a face plate, and a frame to be fixed to one face of the face plate and provided along at least one side of a peripheral edge of the one face. The frame is formed by laminating a plurality of layers of a prepreg containing reinforced fiber impregnated with resin. The frame has a frame body to be fixed to the one face, and a shaft supporting portion formed integrally with the frame body and formed with an insertion hole for press-fitting a shaft-like member.

Chassis member, electronic device, and method for manufacturing the chassis member

A chassis member capable of improving manufacturing efficiency is disclosed. The chassis member includes a laminate in which an interlayer is provided between a pair of fiber-reinforced resin plates made of reinforced fiber impregnated with thermoplastic resin. A frame body formed of thermoplastic resin is joined to an edge of the laminate. The edge of the laminate is provided with a thin plate portion thinner than the other portion. The frame body is joined to the thin plate portion.

Method for manufacturing a chassis member

A portable information apparatus is provided. The portable information apparatus includes a first chassis, a second chassis and a hinge device. The hinge device includes a set of outer shell members disposed side-by-side along an arrangement direction of the first chassis and the second chassis and is respectively equipped with hollow parts, a set of inner shell members each of which is disposed so as to stride over a boundary at least between lower faces of the mutually adjacent outer shell members in the hollow parts of the mutually adjacent outer shell members, a first coupling section which couples each inner shell member and one of the mutually adjacent outer shell members together and a second coupling section which couples each inner shell member and the other of the mutually adjacent outer shell members together.

An electronic apparatus is disclosed. The electronic apparatus includes a first chassis having a keyboard device on its top surface; a second chassis having a display on its front surface; a hinge mechanism connecting the first chassis and the second chassis; a movable plate disposed in the rear of the keyboard device on the top surface of the first chassis, and is configured to be turnable in a direction of moving its rear end up and down centering on a rotating shaft provided on its front end; and a drive mechanism that causes the movable plate to turn in conjunction with a turning motion of the first chassis and the second chassis through the hinge mechanism.

An electronic apparatus having a sub display is provided. The electronic apparatus includes a hinge mechanism connecting a main body chassis and a display chassis; a movable plate provided on a top surface of the main body chassis and is turnable in a direction in which its rear end moves up and down around a rotating shaft part provided at its front end; a drive mechanism that turns the movable plate in conjunction with a turning operation between the main body chassis and the display chassis by the hinge mechanism; and a release mechanism that releases an interlocking state of the turning operation and the movable plate by the drive mechanism to allow the movable plate to turn in a downward direction when the movable plate of which the rear end is located at a raised position receives a predetermined external force in the downward direction.

A keyboard device includes: a base member having a top face on which a first unit and a second unit are placed; a driving part configured to relatively move the first unit and the second unit between a storage position and a usage position; at the storage position, the first side face and the second side face meshing with each other while being displaced in a front-rear direction of the keyboard device; at the usage position, the first side face and the second side face meshing with each other without being displaced in the front-rear direction so that the units are placed side by side in a left-right direction of the keyboard device to define a single keyboard; and an operating member configured to move the first unit and the second unit between the usage position and the storage position.

An electronic apparatus having a suction port is disclosed. The electronic device includes a first main body, a second main body that has a main display and is coupled to the first main body to be rotationally movable around a first hinge, and a sub display that is installed on an upper surface of the first main body to be rotationally movable around a second hinge, and is configured to be opened relative to the first main body when the second main body is opened relative to the first main body. A suction port is formed in a part of the first main body that is covered with the sub display when the sub display is closed.

The adhesive member has a first adhesive layer adhered to the rear surface of the display; and a second adhesive layer adhered to a part of the front surface of the first support plate and the second support plate and including a non-adhesive portion provided in at least a range overlapping with a bending region.

A hinge mechanism includes a plurality of linkage units, each including a base bar and two rotating assemblies pivotally connected with two carrying sections of the base bar. Each rotating assembly has a synchronous rotation bar, a friction plate and a torsion plate. The friction plate has a first major plate body and a friction increasing portion inclined outwardly from the major plate body. The rotating assemblies are turnable relative to the base bar between unfolded and folded positions. During the turning, the friction increasing portion is gradually overlapped upon and in frictional contact with the torsion plate so as to increase a friction force for providing a stable turning.
