A cushion body for sitting is provided which can offer good feeling of sitting even to many unspecified users of various body shapes and allow them to be seated more comfortably. A cushion body for sitting () includes: a base part () having a sitting surface (S) formed of a curved surface that is curved concavely to support, from below, the buttocks of a seated person in a seated posture; and a pair of side supporting portions () each having a side supporting surface (S) formed of a curved surface that is curved continuously from the sitting surface (S) of the base part (), where the pair of side supporting portions () project from sides of the base part () such that the side supporting portions () can be bent and deformed by a load applied to the side supporting surfaces (S), so as to support both the left and right parts of the buttocks of the seated person in the seated posture.

Cushion body for sitting

A long synthetic resin foam body composed of a thermoplastic resin expanded beads-molded substrate and a frame having displacement regulating sections provided at both ends in the longitudinal or lateral direction of the substrate and a connecting section that connects the displacement regulating sections to each other. The substrate has at least one joint forming portion that divides the substrate in a direction intersecting the connecting section into two or more substrate parts. The joint forming portion has a joint that connects the adjacent two substrate parts to each other and is deformable to permit a relative displacement between the adjacent two substrate parts when the substrate contracts or expands.

Long synthetic resin foam body

The present invention solves the problem of realizing a lighter cushion body that has ample cushioning properties when a person sits or lies thereon by: providing a plurality of rod-shaped or flat plate-shaped support bodies () comprising a synthetic resin foam that has a bending deflection amount of 20 mm or more as measured according to the method described in JIS K7221-2:2006 and a pressing force of 2-100 N at 20 mm of deflection, and legs () on which the support bodies () are placed or fixed; using the support bodies and the legs to form a space () that makes it possible to bend and deform the support bodies; and arranging the plurality of rod-shaped or flat plate-shaped support bodies () in a row so as to be deformable.

A seat back for vehicles including a seat back pad having supporting bodies fixed on a periphery of an opening or a seat frame, or formed integrally with the periphery of the opening by one or multiple-point support, the supporting bodies aligned at predetermined intervals, each arranged in a direction between periphery portions opposite to each other of the opening at a front surface portion formed as a backrest surface for a seated person, the supporting bodies being independent of each other in rod or plate form, each made of a synthetic resin foam having 20 mm or larger in bending deflection amount and 2 to 100 N in load when deflected by 20 mm measured in accordance with a method defined by JIS K7221-2:2006, and having an interspace portion configured such that the supporting bodies are allowed to be deformed by bending in a rear direction.

The foam material has a first portion received in the depressed portion and a second portion protruding forwardly from the front face of the bumper beam such that the second portion is compressed into the depressed portion upon receipt of a collision impact.
