An inkjet printer injects first ink of a plurality of colors and second ink. An extraction condition setter sets an extraction condition to extract a portion of, or an entirety of, ink dots of the first ink of each of the plurality of colors. An extractor extracts an underlying layer dot group from ink dots of the first ink of each of the plurality of colors based on the extraction condition. Such a plurality of underlying layer dot groups and ink dots of the second ink form a first printing layer. An image dot group including at least the ink dots, of the first ink, other than the underlying dot groups forms at least one additional printing layer.

Inkjet printer

An inkjet printer forms ink dots of a first ink and ink dots of a second ink on a recording medium. The inkjet printer performs first screen processing on image data of the second ink to generate a first dot group including the ink dots of the second ink, and performs second screen processing on image data of the second ink to generate a second dot group including the ink dots of the second ink. The inkjet printer forms a first printing layer, on the recording medium, of the ink dots of the first ink and the ink dots of the first dot group, and forms a second printing layer of the ink dots of the second ink, above or below the first printing layer.

An inkjet printer ejects a first ink including multiple colors and a second ink. A controller generates dot groups including an underlying layer dot group and an image dot group from ink dots of the first ink of each of the colors. The dot groups of each of the colors include all of the ink dots of the corresponding color. The controller forms a first printing layer of at least the ink dots of the underlying layer dot group of each of the colors and ink dots of the second ink. The controller forms a second printing layer of at least the ink dots of the image dot group of each of the colors.

Inkjet printer and printing method

An inkjet printer ejects a first ink of a plurality of colors and a second ink. An extractor extracts an underlying layer dot group from ink dots of the first ink of each of the plurality of colors. Such underlying layer dot groups and ink dots of the second ink form a first printing layer. An image dot group including at least the ink dots, of the first ink, other than the underlying dot groups forms at least one additional printing layer. The underlying dot groups are each extracted from the ink dots of the first ink of the corresponding color based on a predetermined extraction ratio.
