At both of the upper and lower faces of flange section (A) of rotation body () rotatably retained between lower case () and upper case () opposed to each other via inner case (), inner concavo-convex section () and outer concavo-convex section () are provided at point-symmetric positions on concentric circles of an inner circumference-side circle and an outer circumference-side circle. Inner elastic contact projection (C) and outer elastic contact projection (D) of double ring-like click spring () respectively elastically contact inner concavo-convex section () and outer concavo-convex section () respectively corresponding to both of the upper and lower faces of flange section (A), thereby providing a clear click feeling and a high click degree.

A variable resistor includes a resistor element having a first end and a second end, a slider sliding on the resistor element, an adjustable resistor portion having a first end connected to the first end of the resistor element and having a second end, a first terminal connected to the second end of the adjustable resistor portion, a second terminal electrically coupled to the second end of the resistor element, and a third terminal connected to the slider. The adjustable resistor portion is positioned outside of the sliding range of the slider. This variable resistor outputs a precise resistance having s small variation from a predetermined resistance.

A rotary variable resistor including a rotator having at an upper part a disk-shaped flange provided with a rectangular first adjustment hole penetrating a circumferential portion thereof and at a lower part a cylindrical shaft, and an adjustment plate having a slider at a lower surface thereof and a second adjustment hole with a narrower width than that of the first adjustment hole on an annular flat plate portion. The rotator is integrated into the adjustment plate by fitting the adjustment plate into the shaft of the rotator with adjusting the position of the first adjustment hole with the second adjustment hole. Thus, a rotary variable resistor is configured. After a product is completed, by applying a force from the side of the first adjustment hole to a side wall in the direction of rotation of the second adjustment hole, the adjustment plate can be moved so as to adjust the output voltage ratio.

Rotary variable resistor and a method of adjusting a resistor value of the same

A multi-directional input device includes an operating shaft capable of rotating around a central axis thereof and tilting in multiple directions from the central axis; a rotating body rotating together with the operating shaft to sequentially connect or disconnect a slide contact and a fixed contact; and a plurality of horizontal push switches operable by tilting the operating shaft. The engaging surface between the operating shaft and the rotating body forms a curved surface having both arc element and noncircular element. The operating shaft and the rotating body are always in contact with each other in a large area. Thus, in both tilting and rotating operation, even an extended period of use causes less abrasion.

A multifunctional switch having a push button placed on an upper surface, and an operating lever protruding laterally from the side thereof. The push button on the upper surface is used to operate a push switch. The operating lever on the side is used to operate a rotary switch.

Multifunctional switch

A press-fit fixing terminal is mountable to a wiring board by being inserted into a through-hole of the wiring board, and includes a flat plate section and a resilient contacting section. The flat plate section is made of metal thin plate and double-backed such that an end of the flat plate section is placed on a root side and a bent point works as an insertion tip when the terminal is inserted into the through-hole. The resilient contacting sections sandwich the double-backed portion of the flat plate section such that they are placed symmetrically with respect to the double-backed portion and both of the ridges of the resilient contacting section face outward viewed from the double-backed portion, so that each one of the resilient contacting sections forms a V-shape including an obtuse angle.

Press-fit fixing terminal, and electronic component having the same terminal

A rotating electronic part has a board; a case composed of insulating resin; a supporting projection made of resin integrally structured with the case; and a rotating member. The board is provided with a central hole and three or more notches around the central hole at even angular intervals. The case fixes the board so as to maintain a penetration state of the central hole on the board. Each of the supporting projections is partially provided in one of the notches and projects to an inner radius of the central hole. The rotating member has a shaft inserted in the central hole on the board and is rotatably supported at the distal ends of the supporting projections; and a contact that faces to the board, makes a rotational movement with the rotation of the shaft, and contacts the board to output electric signals outward.

Rotating electronic part and method of manufacturing the same

Rotary electronic component of the invention has a contact board and an elastic contact. The contact board, including an annular contact having an arc-segmental portion split by a slit with a predetermined width and signaling contacts disposed at spaced positions and in electrical continuation with the arc-segmental portion, is fixed in a resin molding with the annular contact exposed on the top plane of the resin molding. The elastic contact slides on the contact board along the annular contact. In this rotary electronic component, a stress occurring when the annular contact is fixed by molding on to the contact board is relaxed owing to presence of the slit. Thus, a rotary electronic component generating an electric signal with a stabilized waveform over a long time can be obtained.

An illumination-type rotary variable resistor. A housing includes a round bottom plate, a cylindrical outer wall protruding in a first direction, and a cylinder. This housing houses an annular insulating substrate having a resistor film and LED conductive film on its surface facing in the first direction. An operating knob includes a cylindrical operating member rotatably fitted to the cylinder and a flange having a resistor slider and LED slider on a face in a second direction being opposite to the first direction. The operating member has a through hole along the first direction, and the flange is attached to the operating member in the second direction. A cover covers the housing and flange. A surface-mount LED is disposed in the through hole at an end which is facing in the second direction. A resistor slider slides on the resistor film, and a LED slider slides on the LED conductive film.

Illumination-type rotary variable resistor

A resistive element includes a resistive film disposed on an insulating film, a current collector disposed apart from the resistive film at a given space, and an electrode conductive to the resistive film and the collector respectively. The insulating board is punched to form slits which split the electrode. The slits allow the resistive element to maintain creepage distances between the electrode. The resistive element accommodates downsizing requirement while restraining silver migration for eliminating shorts between the electrodes. As a result, a highly reliable resistive element is obtainable.
