A disposable diaper having a backsheet that defines a garment facing surface and an outer surface provided with an adhesive tape for holding the diaper in a rolled-up state. The adhesive tape includes fastening and reinforcing tapes. The fastening tape is folded back in an inner tape section and an outer tape section. The inner tape section is fixed near its end to the backsheet and spaced from the backsheet near a folded portion that is contiguous to the outer tape section. The outer tape section is coated with an adhesive and temporarily fixed to the inner tape section. The reinforcing tape is folded back in two sections in a direction opposite to that in which the fastening tape is folded back. The reinforcing tape is fixed to the inner tape section near the folded portion and is also to the backsheet.

Disposable diaper having tape for disposal thereof

A brief-type diaper has pre-girth parts () located vertically, and a pre-crotch part () located between the pre-girth parts and provided with substantially V-shaped recesses () in the front and rear body sides, respectively. An absorber is disposed in a brief-type diaper precursor () where pre-leg openings () are made. The precursor () is folded vertically along the center line X&#x2014;X so that the pre-girth parts () and the pre-crotch part () are overlapped. Subsequently, the side fringe parts () are bonded to form a waist opening thus obtaining a panty type diaper in which joints () are formed in the front and rear bodies and no joint exist in the left and right bodies of the girth area.

Brief-type diaper

A process for making a disposable wearing article for securing an elastic member to the wearing article without reducing a comfortable feeling of touch with a wearer's skin of the wearing article. A production line of the wearing article includes a step of securing elastic member to a sheet material using an adhesive. The elastic member is coated on its peripheral surface with the adhesive in a pattern of substantially continuous line and then the elastic member secured to sheet material of the wearing article. The continuous line runs in a longitudinal direction of the elastic member so that the curved line undulates on a plane defined by developing the peripheral surface of the elastic member with a height of undulation substantially corresponding to or being larger than a circumferential length A of the elastic member.

Process for making a disposable wearing article

A pull-on disposable diaper that is provided in parallel to transversely opposite side edges thereof in its rear waist region with fastening tape strips. The tape strips are configured in its rolled up state for disposable after the diaper has been used. Each of the tape strips includes longitudinally opposite end regions firmly bonded to respective peripheral edges of the diaper's waist-opening and leg-openings. An intermediate region of each of the fastening tape strips includes an adhesive region on its inner surface which is adapted to be separably bonded to the outer surface of the diaper when rolled up for disposal.

Pull-on disposable diaper

A disposable diaper including a topsheet, a backsheet and a core disposed therebetween. A pair of outer side barrier cuffs and a pair of inner side barrier cuffs lying more inwardly of the outer side barrier cuffs are formed adjacent transversely opposite side edges and extend longitudinally thereof. Each of the outer side barrier cuffs has its longitudinally opposite ends covered with a pair of end barrier flaps that are positioned adjacent longitudinally opposite ends of the diaper so as to form front and rear pockets, respectively. The inner side barrier cuffs are shorter than the outer side barrier cuffs.

Disposable diaper

A disposable wearing article that includes a substantially liquid-impervious leak-barrier cuff associated with a waist-opening, which has a fixed end portion lying on a side of one longitudinal end portion of an article, a free end portion extending from the fixed end portion toward a crotch region and fixed side portions lying on the transversely opposite side edge portions of the article. A rising fulcrum zone of the leak-barrier cuff lies in a substantially non-contractible region of the article extending between the elastic member associated with the waist-opening and elastic members associated with leg-openings.

Disposable wearing article

A disposable undergarment having a liquid-absorbent panel that includes a body fluid absorbing/holding layer formed with a plurality of depressions each extending in the thickness direction thereof and a nonwoven fabric layer placed upon upper surface of the absorbing/holding layer. Heat-sealable fibers contained in the absorbing/holding layer are heat-sealed with the nonwoven fabric layer over contacting surfaces of these absorbing/holding layer and the nonwoven fabric layer. Furthermore, the nonwoven fabric layer is partially engaged in the depressions of the absorbing/holding layer so that the heat-sealable synthetic fibers contained in the absorbing/holding layer are heat-sealed with the nonwoven fabric layer also over contacting surfaces of these two layers in the respective depressions.

Disposable undergarment

The disposable pull-on undergarment that has first and second waist regions and a crotch region extending between these two waist regions. The waist regions are connected with each other in bonding zones extending along transversely opposite side edge portions thereof so as to define a waist-opening and a pair of leg-openings. First elastic members are bonded under tension to peripheral edge of the waist-opening and second elastic members are bonded under tension to peripheral edges of the leg-openings so that respective opposite ends of the first elastic members are positioned and fixed at first zones defined immediately inside the bonding zones in a circumferential direction of the waist-opening and respective opposite ends of the second elastic members are positioned and fixed at second zones defined immediately inside the bonding zones in a circumferential direction Y of the leg-openings.

Disposable pull-on undergarment

A disposable pull-on diaper has a pair of tape fasteners to hold the diaper in a rolled up state. The tape fasteners are provided in the vicinity of transversely opposite side edges of a rear waist region so as to extend in a longitudinal direction. The tape fasteners have lower end portions bonded to the diaper by bonding zones extending in a waist-surrounding direction in the vicinity of peripheral edge portions of respective leg-openings. The bonding zones extend obliquely inward in the waist-surrounding direction from the transversely opposite side edge portions of the rear waist region toward the upper end portions of the respective tape fasteners.

Disposable pull-on diaper

A disposable wearing article includes a substantially liquid-impervious leak-barrier cuff which has a fixed end portion lying in the vicinity of a longitudinal end portion of an article, a free end portion extending from the fixed end portion toward a crotch region and fixed lateral end portions lying on transversely opposite side edge portions of the article. The free end portion is normally biased to rise on a topsheet and locally bonded to the article in retaining zones.

A disposable pull-on diaper that includes a pair of tape fasteners which are adapted to hold the diaper in a rolled-up state. The tape fasteners are provided at transversely opposite side edges of a rear waist region so as to extend along the side edges in a longitudinal direction. Each of the tape fasteners has an upper end portion lying adjacent a waist-opening and a lower end portion lying adjacent an associated leg-opening. The upper end portions of the tape fasteners are bonded to the diaper by bonding zones which extend obliquely inward in a waist-surrounding direction from the transversely opposite side edges of the rear waist region toward the lower end portions.

A disposable pull-on undergarment having front and rear waist regions bonded together along longitudinally extending bonding zones to define a waist-hole and a pair of leg-holes. The respective bonding zones have an upper end lying most adjacent the waist-hole and a lower end lying most adjacent the leg-holes and extend from the upper ends toward the lower ends so that these bonding zones approach a longitudinal center line X of the undergarment.

A disposable pull-on diaper includes a liquid-pervious topsheet, a liquid-impervious backsheet and a liquid-absorbent core disposed therebetween. The diaper has a waist-hole and a pair of leg-holes. The diaper is provided on one of a front half or a rear half thereof with at least one elastically stretchable fastening member transversely extending across a longitudinal center line of the diaper, and a hook member which lies on the longitudinal center line to catch the fastening member. The fastening member has transversely opposite end portions secured to the diaper, and a transversely intermediate portion exposed on an outer surface of the backsheet. After use, the used diaper is rolled-up with an outer peripheral surface thereof surrounded by the intermediate portion, and the intermediate portion is caught by the hook to secure the used diaper in the rolled-up state.

Disposable pull-on diaper having disposal securing means

A pull-on disposable diaper that is provided, in a vicinity of transversely opposite side edges in a rear waist region, with fastening tape strips. The fastening tape strips are adapted to hold the diaper in its rolled up state for disposal after the diaper has been used. Each of the tape strips includes a first portion extending longitudinally of the diaper parallel to the associated one of transversely opposite side edges and a second portion branched from the first portion that extends longitudinally of the diaper. Longitudinally opposite end regions of the first portion are bonded to edges of waist- and leg-openings. The second portion includes an anchoring zone adapted to be separably anchored on the outer peripheral surface of the rolled up diaper.

A disposable diaper that includes an absorbent unit and a breathable sweat-absorbent sheet. An end flap is formed in a rear waist region of the absorbent unit and is arranged to be breathable. The sweat-absorbent sheet is bonded to the inner surface of the end flap. The diaper thus constructed is breathable and sweat absorbable in the waist region of the absorbent unit.
