Tris[2-hydroxy-3-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidylamino)propyl] isocyanurate is useful as a light stabilizer for organic materials. A composition comprising an organic material and the isocyanurate is stable against light and also excellent in heat resistance. The isocyanurate can be produced by the reaction between tris(2,3-epoxypropyl) isocyanurate and 4-amino-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine.

A 1-(2-benzothiazolylthio)-piperidine compound of the formula: ##STR1## WHEREIN R is a lower alkyl group substituted at least at the 3, 4 and/or 5 positions and n is an integer from 1 to 3, which is prepared by the reaction of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole or its reactive derivative with an alkylated piperidine or its N-halogenated derivative and useful as a vulcanization accelerator having an improved scorching property.

Rubbers are prevented from ozone deterioration without discoloring or staining by the addition of a low toxic nitrile of the formula, ##EQU1## wherein R.sub.1 is an alkyl or ##EQU2## R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl or ethyl group, and n and a are integers of 1 to 5, with the qualification that when a is an integer of 2, then R.sub.2 is methyl or ethyl.

The premature vulcanization of rubber materials is substantially inhibited by incorporating therein a sulfenamide of the formula: ##SPC1## Wherein R, which may be the same or different, is alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms. The preferred sulfenamide is N-phenythio-3,5-lupetidine. Said sulfenamide is incorporated into the rubber with or without a conventional vulcanization accelerator and is preferably employed in the form of a powder preparation adsorbed in an inorganic carrier.
