An electrical connector to be disposed on a circuit board includes a housing with two sidewalls, a plurality of first terminals, and a plurality of second terminals. The first terminals and the second terminals are attached to the one and the other of the sidewalls, respectively, and are situated near a bottom portion of the housing. The first terminal has a flexible first elastic arm portion. The first elastic arm portion extends upward. The first elastic arm portion has a first contact section that protrudes toward the flat conductive member. The second terminal has a flexible second elastic arm portion. The second elastic arm portion extends upward further than an upper end of the first elastic arm portion. The second elastic arm portion has a second contact section that protrudes towards the flat conductive member at a position above than the upper end of the first elastic arm portion.

Electrical connector

A circuit board electrical connector to be disposed on a circuit board includes a housing and a plurality of terminals arranged in the housing. The housing includes a receiving space with an upper opening portion to receive a flat conductive member and a housing space with a lower opening portion that communicates with the receiving space. Each of the terminals has a connecting section and a contact section. The circuit board electrical connector has a portion to house a middle section of the terminal between the connecting section and the contact section. The portion is a region includes a range that overlaps at least with the upper opening portion and lower opening portion when viewed from an upper side, and is made wider at a gap between an inner surface of the housing space and the terminal than a gap other than the region.

Electrical connector having terminal grooves with various widths

An electrical circuit board connector includes a housing made of an electrical insulating material; a groove formed in the housing for receiving a flat conductive member from a rear side of the housing; a signal terminal arranged at a front side of the housing; a ground terminal disposed at a position closer to the rear side relative to the signal terminal; and a pressing member supported to be movable. The signal terminal includes a contact arm, a first contact section for contacting with a circuit section of the flat conductive member, and a connecting section protruding outside the housing. The ground terminal includes a second contact section for contacting with a ground plate of the flat conductive member. When the pressing member moves, the pressing member presses the flat conductive member to the first contact section and the second contact section.

Circuit board electrical connector

An electrical connector for connecting a flat conductive member includes a plurality of terminals formed of a flat metal plate arranged on a housing in a direction perpendicular to a plate direction. Each of the terminals has a contact portion disposed at a position for receiving the flat conductive member to be inserted into a receptacle portion of the housing. A metal member having an engaging portion is attached to the housing for engaging an engagement portion of the flat conductive member, so that the flat conductive member does not come off backward. A pressing member is supported on at least one of the housing and the terminals to be rotatable. The metal member further includes an attaching portion attached to the housing. The metal member is attached to the housing such that the attaching portion is situated in parallel to a plate surface of the terminals.
