An information collecting system includes a first device including a counter, a second device that collects data from one or more sensing devices in response to a command from the first device, and a third device including a time-measuring unit that manages time. The first device adds, to the data collected by the second device, a first count value output from the counter at a timing when the second device collects the data, to generate a first data set. The third device adds, to the first data set, a correspondence relationship between a time output from the time-measuring unit and a second count value output from the counter of the first device.

The signal processing device is connected to an external device via a connector member. Each of the terminals is provided in an area that is inside the connector member in a state where the signal processing device is connected to the external device via the connector member.

A controller constituting at least a portion of a control system includes a master control unit, and one or more slave control units connected to the master control unit with at least a communication line. The slave control units each include a timer that is synchronized with the master control unit, an input unit that receives an interrupt signal, a notification unit that obtains, upon receipt of the interrupt signal through the input unit, timing information from the timer and transmits notification about an input of the interrupt signal to the master control unit, and a transmission unit that transmits, upon receipt of a request from the master control unit via the communication line, the timing information to the master control unit via the communication line.

A control system includes a master apparatus that includes a calculation unit and a communication processing unit, and one or more slave apparatuses connected to the master apparatus via a network. The communication processing unit is configured to manage cyclic transmission, on the network, of a data sequence containing data that is handled by the master apparatus and the one or more slave apparatuses. The control device includes a master control unit and at least one slave control unit that is connected to the master control unit via a communication line. The master control unit includes a circuit for, upon completion of data transmission from the slave control unit via an uplink, transmitting an instruction for deactivating the uplink to the slave control unit via a downlink, as well as a circuit for, in order to obtain data from the slave control unit, transmitting an instruction for activating the uplink to the slave control unit via the downlink. A programmable controller includes a master unit and a plurality of slave units connected to a system bus in a daisy chain. The master unit transmits a batch of transmission frames addressed to different slave units consecutively a predetermined plurality of times, without waiting to receive the response from the slave units.
