A gateway digital loop carrier device accommodates an integrated access device accommodating as a subscriber at least one of a telephone, a modem and ISDN and implementing a TR-008 interface, executes an interface conversion between TR-008 and TR/GR-303, and connects the subscriber to a switch implementing a TR-303 or GR-303 interface.

Gateway digital loop carrier device

A subscriber digital transmission system has a central office terminal and a remote terminal coupled to the central office terminal by a digital line, the remote terminal accommodating a plurality of subscribers. The system includes a communication unit for transmitting a multiple signal via the digital line between the central office terminal and the remote terminal, information being multiplexed in a plurality of time slots in the multiple signal, and a multiplexer for multiplexing information for the subscribers and performance information in accordance with a time-division multiprocessing so that the performance information is assigned to a predetermined time slot of the multiple signal to be transmitted by the communication unit.

Subscriber digital transmission system

A digital transmission apparatus for subscribers, includes a switch function unit performing multiplexing into subscriber time slots by receiving as its input transmission signals communicated between subscriber side transmission lines and feeder transmission lines. The apparatus sets one or more lines among a plurality of feeder transmission lines as a protection transmission line with respect to an active feeder transmission line. A selector function unit performs a connection change-over of the path of the active feeder transmission line in which a transmission fault occurred to a protection transmission line preliminarily allocated to the related active feeder transmission line.
