An endoscope includes: a distal end opening of a treatment instrument insertion channel opened at a side surface of a distal end portion; a treatment instrument elevator base that is provided at a position facing the distal end opening in the treatment instrument insertion channel and leads a distal end of a treatment instrument protruding from the distal end opening, to a desired position; a first wall portion along the insertion direction of the distal end opening; and a second wall portion at a proximal end side of the insertion direction of the distal end opening and provided with a groove in which a part of the treatment instrument elevator base is fitted when the treatment instrument elevator base is raised, and as the treatment instrument elevator base is raised, a guide wire protruding from the distal end opening is releasably engaged by contacting the treatment instrument elevator base, the first wall portion, and a surface constituting the groove of the second wall portion.

Endoscope

An endoscope includes: a treatment instrument elevator base including a contact surface which contacts with a treatment instrument inserted into a treatment instrument insertion channel, and rotatably provided to a distal end to elevate the instrument; a contact portion provided to the distal end to contact with the instrument when the elevator base is elevated; a first leading portion provided to the contact surface to lead the instrument to a predetermined position on the contact surface as the elevator base is rotated; a holding portion provided to the contact surface and the contact portion, and including a grasping surface for sandwiching the instrument with a diameter not exceeding a predetermined value; and a second leading portion provided to the contact portion to lead the instrument larger than the grasping surface away from the holding portion.

An endoscope distal end cover includes a cover portion provided with a coupling port for covering at least a part of an outer circumferential portion of a distal end portion main body configuring an insertion portion of an endoscope; an opening portion for allowing a surface of the distal end portion main body to be in communication with outside when the cover portion is disposed on the distal end portion main body; a finger-hooking portion provided on the cover portion and located away from an edge portion of the coupling port by a predetermined distance; a plastic-deformation portion formed adjacent to the finger-hooking portion and along a predetermined direction of the cover portion; and convex portion engaged with an engaging portion provided to the distal end portion main body, the convex portion being provided on an inner surface of the cover portion adjacent to the plastic-deformation portion.

Endoscope distal end cover, endoscope including the same, and method for removing endoscope distal end cover

A line changeover device for an endoscope, which changes over a line which is arranged in the endoscope, is arranged such that it comprises a cylinder and a piston which is fitted and inserted into the cylinder in a retractable manner, a seal member which is abutted against the cylinder for retaining at least one of water tightness and gas tightness with respect to the cylinder is fixedly provided on an outer periphery of the piston, and a strength reinforcement is provided on at least a part between an outer periphery of said seal member and an inner periphery thereof. The water tightness and the gas tightness within the cylinder are retained or held, and a sliding resistance of the piston is kept appropriately or adequately without the use of lubricating oil. Sliding ability between the cylinder and the piston at the time of operation is improved. Operability can be made fine or satisfactory.

Line changeover device for endoscope

An endoscope includes an operating portion placed outside a living body, an insertion portion having a proximal end portion coupled to the operating portion, a distal end portion inserted in the living body, and an instrument insertion channel extending through the insertion portion, a raising mechanism having an operation wire and designed to direct the distal end portion of an instrument, caused to extend through the channel, to a predetermined position, and an operation means for operating the operation wire. The endoscope includes a distal end body portion arranged at the distal end portion of the insertion portion and incorporating an observation means for observing the interior of the living body, a support member for forming at least a portion of the outer surface of the distal end portion. The support member is detachable from the distal end body portion. The endoscope further includes a raising base which is supported on the support member such that the angle at which the raising base is arranged can be adjusted. The angle of the raising base is adjusted by the operation wire. The operation wire is detachable from the operation means.
