The object is to provide an injector with a built-in ignition device that can achieve downsize of device as a whole without changing significantly the structure of a fuel injection device. The injector with the built-in ignition device comprises an ignition deviceand a fuel injection device. In the ignition device, an electromagnetic wave oscillated from an electromagnetic wave oscillator MW is boosted by a booster that is constituted by a resonance structure, a potential difference between a ground electrodeand a discharge electrodeis increased, and a discharge is caused. In the fuel injection device, a valve body part of a nozzle needleis moved toward or away from a valve seat (orifis), and thereby, the fuel injection control is performed. Then, the resonance structure is formed by a dielectric memberthat is connected to the electromagnetic wave oscillator and formed on the surface of a fuel injection pipe, and an inner wall surfaceof a mounting portfor an injector of a cylinder head. A discharge electrodeis a projection that is formed on the surface of the fuel injection pipe, and a discharge is caused by making a position of the wall surface of the mounting portthat is closest to the discharge electrodeas a ground electrode

Injector built-in ignition device, internal combustion engine, gas burner, and ignition device

To provide an ignition plug having low power loss even though iron is a main component of a center electrode thereof, to which a high frequency power such as a microwave is electrically supplied. A low impedance layercomposed of a material having magnetic permeability lower than iron is provided between an outer peripheral surface of a center electrodeand an inner peripheral surface of an axial holeof an insulator. The low impedance layeris in contact with at least the outer peripheral surface (surface) of the center electrode, thereby reducing power loss of an electromagnetic wave flowing on the surface of the center electrode. More particularly, the low impedance layeris made of silver, copper, gold, aluminum, tungsten, molybdenum, titanium, zirconium, niobium, tantalum, bismuth, palladium, lead, tin, an alloy composed mainly of these metals, or a composite material of these metals.

Ignition plug and plasma generation device

In an internal combustion engine that causes a predetermined gas flow in a combustion chamber, discharge plasma generated by a discharge device is caused to effectively absorb energy of an electromagnetic wave emitted from an electromagnetic wave emission device. At a time when a discharge operation and an emission operation are simultaneously performed so as to ignite a fuel air mixture, an emitting position of the electromagnetic wave on an antenna during the emission operation is located downstream of the discharge gap in a direction of the gas flow at the discharge gap so as to face toward the discharge plasma that has been drifted due to the gas flow.
