The present invention relates to a laminated member including: a glass member having a linear transmittance at a wavelength of 850 nm of 80% or more; a bonding layer including a resin and lying on the glass member; and a Si—SiC member lying on the bonding member, in which the Si—SiC member has an average linear expansion coefficient α at from 20° C. to 200° C. of from 2.85 ppm/° C. to 4.00 ppm/° C.

Laminated member

The present invention relates to a laminated member, including: a glass member having a linear transmittance at a wavelength of 850 nm of 80% or more; a bonding layer containing a resin and lying on the glass member; and a Si—SiC member lying on the bonding layer, in which the glass member includes predetermined amounts of SiO, AlO, BO, and PO, the Si—SiC member has an average linear expansion coefficient α at 20 to 200° C. of 2.85 to 4.00 ppm/° C., and has an average linear expansion coefficient β at 20 to 200° C. of 1.50 to 5.00 ppm/° C., and the laminated member has an absolute value |α-β|, which is a value obtained by subtracting β from α, of 2.00 ppm/° C. or less.

A supporting glass substrate includes a compression stress layer on a surface thereof, and has an average thermal expansion coefficient at 50° C. to 200° C. that is 7 ppm/° C. to 15 ppm/° C., an internal tensile stress that is 5 MPa to 55 MPa, and a depth of the compression stress layer that is 10 μm to 60 μm.

When power is supplied to an ODD used by being externally attached to a PC via a USB port, it is desirable not to cause an error to occur owing to occurrence of a power-on reset even when the power supplying ability of the PC is insufficient. After the ODD has been connected with the PC and started, the ODD executes an operation of large current consumption for a predetermined period of time and judges whether a power-on reset occurs or not while the operation is being executed. When the power-on reset does not occur, the ODD is set to operate on the basis of the highest specification. When the power-on reset has occurred, the specification is set lower so as to operate the ODD with reduced current consumption.

The present invention provides a single information recording and reproducing apparatus that is used to record data to multiple disks that are to be recorded on using different wavelengths. More specifically, the present invention provides an apparatus that accurately discriminates disk types while preventing disk damage and accidental recording of data during the disk type discrimination operation. The disk type is determined using the intensity of light reflected from the disk. Information is encoded using an encoder corresponding to the disk type. The resulting signal is used to drive a laser corresponding to the disk type, and information is recorded.
