To provide a bearing device which can ensure the sealing performance by using floating seal to eliminate the need of adding lubricant over a long term and a construction machine comprising the bearing device. The bearing device comprises a shaft. The bearing device comprises a boss portion having a bearing rotatably holding the shaft. The bearing device comprises a cylindrical collar mounted on an end part side of the shaft rather than the boss portion. The bearing device comprises a floating seal for sealing lubricant sandwiched between the boss portion and collar. The bearing device comprises a pin being inserted into the insertion holes provided in the shaft and collar and integrally fixing the shaft and collar at a position where a predetermined axial load is applied to the floating seal between the collar and boss portion. The bearing device comprises a bracket having an opening for mounting the collar.

Bearing device and construction machine

A bearing device that includes a large-diameter section that is provided on a shaft and regulates an axial position of a collar relative to the shaft. The bearing device has a bearing that rotatably retains the shaft at a position outside of a boss section, and has a cylindrical bearing member opposed to the opposing section of the collar at one end. The bearing device includes a floating seal for sealing a lubricant which is sandwiched between the opposing section of the collar and the one end of the bearing member. The bearing device includes a mounting member mounted to the end of the shaft and positioned on the other end of the bearing member to regulate the axial position of the bearing relative to the shaft.

PROBLEM: To provide a cover body () at a space X formed between a motor housing () and a sprocket () which are the components of a drive sprocket () of a base carrier () in a hydraulic shovel, so as to prevent foreign substances such as sand from entering into the space, and to be installed to the motor housing side () without forming a bolt hole. SOLUTION: A cover body () is formed to be a split-body divided to an upper half () and a lower half (), and to be connected to each other to form a ring shape by connecting a connect bolt () formed at an adjacent part of the cover body (). The cover body () is installed to the space X by inserting an adjust bolt () into a ring shaped main body part (and) till abut the motor housing () tightly. An outlet () is formed as a notch on a cover body (and) to discharge the foreign substances entering into the space X between the sprocket housing () and a tip end of the cover part.

A foreign matter intrusion prevention valveis provided at the upstream side of a check valvein the flow pathof valve body. Groovesare positioned around the periphery of a foreign matter intrusion prevention valve bodyin the flow pathto provide communication between the downstream side and the upstream side of the foreign matter intrusion prevention valve body. When the check valvehas a functional failure, high-pressure grease escapes through the groovesto bypass the foreign matter intrusion prevention valve bodyand is discharged to an exterior of the grease injection valve. This can avoid excessive pressure caused by the grease backflow from being applied to the foreign matter intrusion prevention valve
