A frame structure assembly kit is provided. The frame structure assembly kit includes: a bottom frame structure including a plurality of longitudinal bottom frames and a plurality of lateral bottom frames assembled into a grid or ladder, wherein a part of the longitudinal bottom frames and/or the lateral bottom frames bends or extends upward to form at least one guide for determining the position of each battery unit; a top frame structure including a plurality of top longitudinal frames and a plurality of top lateral frames assembled into a grid or ladder; and a plurality of pillars having a length corresponding to the height of the battery units for connecting four corners of the bottom frame structure to the respective four corners of the top frame structure into a rectangular housing capable of accommodating the battery units.

Frame structure assembly kit, battery module, and method for manufacturing battery module

Provided is a battery module including: a metal module housing that has a closed interior space; and multiple secondary batteries that have a vertically long shape and are housed vertically in the interior space and juxtaposed parallel to each other. The module housing has an upper excess space above the secondary batteries in the interior space, the upper excess space being capable of mitigating a pressure increase in the module housing due to ignition of gas generated in the event of an abnormality in the secondary batteries.

An improved engine driven air conditioning apparatus for heating and cooling an enclosed space is disclosed. The apparatus includes a compressor linked to a reversing valve. The reversing valve is further linked to a pair of interior heat exchangers disposed in heat exchanging contact with an enclosed space, and a pair of exterior heat exchangers disposed in air passageways linked to the external environment. The reversing valve controls the direction of flow of fluid in the circuit. In one position, fluid flows from the compressor through the reversing valve to the exterior heat exchanger, to the interior heat exchanger and then back to the compressor to cool the enclosed environment. In a second position, the flow is reversed to heat the enclosed environment. The apparatus also includes an engine to drive the compressor, and a cooling circuit associated with the engine. The cooling circuit includes a pair of radiators radiating the heat from the coolant. The radiators are disposed in the air passageways adjacent to the exterior heat exchangers. Each exterior heat exchanger is disposed adjacent one radiator, and both the exterior heat exchangers and the radiators extend substantially throughout the entire cross-sectional area of the air passageways.

Engine driven air conditioning apparatus

An outdoor unit for a heat pump is usable under very cold weather conditions since the outdoor unit includes an auxiliary heating system which heats a heat exchanger in order to prevent the heat exchanger from forming frost and which also compensates for the decline in heating capacity. Further, the outdoor unit has an air flow preventing arrangement which prevents the flow of air through the heat exchanger when the absorption of the heat from the atmosphere is not efficient. The outdoor unit drives compressors by an internal combustion engine in order to reduce the consumption of electric power and the coolant for the engine is also utilized to provide auxiliary heat to the heat exchanger. The outdoor unit also includes a boiler to compensate for the lack of heating capacity in the engine waste heat. The boiler is operated when the atmospheric temperature is less than the predetermined value.

Supercharger control apparatus for the internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle comprises a control device which has as input signals the demand signal for acceleration (such as a signal based on the amount of throttle valve opening) and an engine rotational speed signal. Based on predetermined ranges of demand signal for acceleration and engine rotational speed and on the input signals, the control device regulates, through an actuator and bypass valve or through an actuator and variable capacity compressor, the amount of supercharging. The supercharge control apparatus allows a non-supercharged state, a maximum supercharged state, or an intermediate supercharged state. In the intermediate supercharged state, the amount of supercharging is in incremental steps to prevent hunting.
