A measuring method executes an identifying procedure of measuring signal power of a beam from user equipment supporting beam-formed transmission, identifying a measurement antenna that detects a peak of the beam transmitted from the user equipment; a calculating procedure of calculating a first angle formed between a straight line connecting the measurement antenna detecting the peak of the beam transmitted from the user equipment to the user equipment and a straight line connecting a measurement antenna located in a direction of an azimuth angle rotation axis of the user equipment to the user equipment; and a rotating procedure of rotating the user equipment based on the first angle.

A wireless communication apparatus is provided in which a wireless part receives multipath detection information sent from a wireless communication apparatus at the other end (a mobile station, for example) and provides the multipath detection information to a multipath component canceling signal generation part. The multipath component canceling signal generation part generates a multipath component canceling signal based on the multipath detection information, and provides the multipath component canceling signal to the wireless part. The wireless part sends the multipath component canceling signal with a send wave to the wireless communication apparatus at the other end.

An antenna device having two resonance frequencies wherein two radiating patches are respectively provided on one surface and on the other surface of a dielectric plate which is disposed above a ground plate with a space interposed therebetween. A coupling control capacitor element is connected between these two radiating patches and resonance control capacitor elements are connected between the radiating patches and the ground plate, respectively. Capacitance of the coupling control capacitor element is selected such that a current coupled from one of the two radiating patches to the other and a current supplied from the said one of the radiating patches to the other via the coupling control capacitor element are in opposite phase at the other one of the radiating patches.

A rod antenna element is connected at its lower end to one end of a coaxial impedance converter, the other end of which is connected to a feeder. A coil antenna element is capacitively coupled to the rod antenna element to provide a double resonance characteristic. When held at its retracted position, the rod antenna element, inserted in an outer conductor of the coaxial impedance converter, may preferably form an inner conductor larger in diameter than that when the rod antenna element is at its extended-out position, and the rod antenna element is connected to a coil antenna element with a low impedance.
