A portable electronic device () includes a first housing (), an electronic module (), a first cover (), a circuit board module (), and a second cover (). The electronic module () is secured on to one of faces of the first housing (). The first cover () is watertightly attached to the first housing () via a waterproof adhesive member () to cover the electronic module (). The circuit board module () is secured on another face of the first housing (). The second cover () is watertightly attached to the first housing () via a waterproof adhesive member () to cover the circuit board module ().

Portable electronic device

A frame member () includes a bottom plate part () facing the lower surface of a display device (), a wall part () extending upwardly from an edge part of the bottom plate part (), and a top plate part () extending from an upper edge part of the wall part in a horizontal direction. An aperture () into which a wiring member () connected to the display device () is inserted is formed between the wall part () and the top plate part (). The frame member () retains and supports the display device ().

Electronic device and frame member

An electronic equipment provided with a vibration motor is disclosed. The electronic equipment includes a holding member formed of a resilient material for holding an outer peripheral portion of the vibration motor and having a portion which is exposed in an open portion of a casing of the electronic equipment. The holding member has a contact portion held by at least one of the casing and a printed circuit board provided in the casing and protruding from the open portion. Since vibration generated by the vibration motor is transmitted through the contact portion of the contact portion directly to a bearer of the electronic equipment, the bearer can fell a call signal reliably and easily.

A structure of a battery storage portion for an electronic equipment has a battery storage chamber which opens in a housing of the electronic equipment to store a battery, a battery cover which closes the opening of the battery storage chamber, and a lock handle means which engages with the battery cover to prevent the battery cover from dropping from the housing. The lock handle means includes a battery push-out piece projecting into the battery storage chamber to push out the battery which is stored toward the opening of the battery storage chamber.
