A lighting control apparatus of a vehicle-purpose lighting device can contribute power saving effect, and prevention of a deterioration of a semiconductor light source, and also, can maintain driving safety characteristics. When an input terminal becomes a low level while a vehicle is stopped, a PNP transistor is turned ON, so that a source current Iflows through a current detecting terminal; a switching regulator lights an LED under beam attenuating operation of 70% in accordance with a light emitting degree capable of satisfying a luminous intensity distribution defined in a law; when an upper beam is lighted, the input terminal becomes a low level; a PNP transistor is turned ON; a source current Iflows through the current detecting terminal, so that the light emitting degree of the LED is further decreased, and thus, the switching regulator lights the LED under beam attenuating operation of 50%.

Lighting control apparatus of vehicle-purpose lighting device

A vehicle lamp is provided with a plurality of lamp units respectively including light sources, and optical units for emitting light from the light sources ahead of the lamp unit, and a driving unit configured to swivel the plurality of optical units in different strokes.

Vehicle lamp

Five lamp units with light emitting elements are supported by a common metal made support member. Heat generated by the respective light emitting elements is transferred to the metal made support member having a large heat capacity to restrain a temperature rise thereof. The lamp units including the light emitting elements having a relatively large heat generating amount are arranged on lower sides of the lamp units including the light emitting elements having a relatively small heat generating amount.

Vehicle lamp and vehicle lamp system

In a vehicle lamp including a light source unit at inside of a lamp chamber formed by a lamp body and a transparent front face cover attached to a front opening portion thereof, a light source unit includes a light emitting element supported by a unit mounting portion, an optical unit for irradiating light from the light emitting element to a front side of the vehicle lamp, and a swivel drive mechanism for driving the optical unit without being moved cooperatively with the light emitting element. The light source unit integral with the unit mounting portion and a heat radiating portion is arranged to penetrate the lamp body.

A metal bracket that supports a plurality of lamp units is configured so as to be housed in the lamp chamber and to be tiltably supported by a lamp body. In this situation, a portion of the lamp body is configured so as to be a heat sink. The heat sink and the metal bracket are connected to each other by a flexible heat pipe. With this arrangement, the heat that is generated by light emitting elements included in lamp units is allowed to move to the heat sink via the metal bracket and the flexible heat pipe, and is thereby released into the space that is outside the lamp chamber. Further, due to the transformation of the flexible heat pipe having flexibility, even when the metal bracket is tilted, it is possible to easily maintain the water-proof function of the lamp without hindering the movement of the metal bracket.

Vehicular lamp

A plurality of lighting units using light emitting diodes as light sources is accommodated in a lamp housing in such a state as to be supported on a common metallic support member provided tiltably. When a part or all of the lighting units are turned on, the light emitting diodes generate heat with a light emission. These light emitting diodes are supported on the common metallic support member. Also in the case in which any of the lighting units is turned on, therefore, the heat generated by the light emitting diodes is moved to the metallic support member having a large heat capacity through boards and light source support blocks by a heat conducting function. Consequently, a rise in the temperatures of the light emitting diodes can be suppressed.

Headlamp for vehicle

A vehicular headlamp used for a vehicle, includes an infrared light source for generating red light and infrared light, a visible light source for generating visible light whose wavelength is different from that of the red light, an optical system for emitting the red light and visible light towards a substantially same emission area in front of the vehicle and a lighting circuit for turning on the infrared light and visible light sources with the strength in order that the chromaticity in the emission area based on the red light and visible light can correspond to white light within a predetermined range in chromaticity coordinates.

Vehicular headlamp

An infrared light radiating lamp in which red light emitted from a front lens is diluted so as to become inconspicuous by emitting a small amount of visible light from a rim portion of a convex lens so that the lamp will not be mistaken for a tail lamp or a stop lamp and without causing glare. A vehicular infrared light radiating lamp is provided with a light source unit including a convex lens mounted via a lens holder forward of a reflector in which a light source is mounted. An infrared light transmitting film is provided on the rear surface of the convex lens. An infrared light transmitting film-free region is provided on the outer periphery of the infrared light transmitting film such that white visible light for diluting the red light emitted from the convex lens is emitted from the rim portion of the convex lens. Visible light with a high energy density is blocked by a light shielding member provided on the rear of the ring-shaped infrared light transmitting film-free region such that only visible light with a reduced energy density, namely, light dampened in intensity by reflection from the infrared light transmitting film, reaches the infrared light transmitting film-free region. Therefore, visible light emitted from the rim portion of the convex lens with an adjusted light intensity does not create glare.

Vehicular infrared light radiating lamp

An infrared radiating lamp which dilutes the red light emitted from the front lens of the lamp by causing a peripheral portion of the lens to emit white light or causing a small amount of white light to pass through a generally central portion of the lens so that the lamp will not be mistakenly recognized as a tail lamp or a stop lamp. The lamp includes a lamp body, a lens attached to a front opening portion of the lamp body and which cooperates with the lamp body to define a lamp chamber, a reflector provided at an inner side of the lamp body, a light source provided forward of the reflector, and an infrared transmitting film that reflects a visible light component and transmits an infrared component. A region having no infrared transmitting film is provided at an outer periphery of the infrared transmitting film. Light from the light source that does not pass through the infrared transmitting film is directed to the peripheral portion of the lens, so that the peripheral portion around the region in the lens that emits red light emits white light, thereby diluting the emission of red light. A similar effect can be obtained by forming a plurality of pores in the infrared transmitting film.

Automotive infrared lamp

An infrared light irradiation lamp comprises a lighting chamber S formed by a lamp body and a front lens , a reflector provided in the lamp body , a light source provided ahead of the reflector in the lighting chamber S, and a cylindrical globe for infrared light formation which is provided to cover the light source and serves to shield a visible light and to transmit only an infrared light, wherein diffusion steps and are provided in a peripheral region of the light source in the reflector and/or a region in the front lens corresponding to the peripheral region of the light source in the reflector. Thus, a red light component L of a visible light transmitted through the globe and guided to the peripheral region of the light source in the reflector is diffused and reflected (L , L ) or is diffused and emitted through the region of the central part of the front lens so that the luminous flux density of the red light component distributed forward is reduced to dilute a red light emitted from the lamp.

Infrared irradiation lamp for automobile

An infrared irradiation lamp having a lamp housing S formed by a Lamp body and a front lens , a reflector provided in the lamp body , a bulb inserted and attached into a bulb insertion attachment hole of the reflector and provided ahead of the reflector , and a cylindrical globe for infrared light formation which is provided to cover the bulb and serves to shield a visible light and to transmit only an infrared light, wherein a metallic bulb holder having a radiation fin extended to the back of the reflector is provided between the bulb insertion attachment hole and a mouth piece of the bulb . Heat generated by turning on the bulb is transferred to the bulb holder and is radiated from the radiation fin provided on the back of the reflector to a space provided on the back of the reflector so that the inside of the globe is not filled with the heat. Thus, it is possible to avoid various problems caused by an increase in the temperatures of the bulb and the globe for infrared light formation.

An infrared light irradiation lamp for an automobile comprises a lighting chamber S formed by a lamp body and a front lens , a reflector provided in the lamp body , a light source provided ahead of the reflector , a cylindrical globe for infrared light formation provided to cover the light source and serving to shield a visible light and to transmit only an infrared light and a globe moving mechanism for moving the globe , the globe moving mechanism being capable of switching a lamp function into an infrared light irradiation configuration in which the globe covers the light source and a visible light irradiation configuration in which the globe is moved forward from the light source , wherein power regulating means is provided on a power supply path reaching the light source and a power supplied from the light source at time of infrared light irradiation is regulated to be lower than a power supplied from the light source at time of visible light irradiation. The amount of heat generated from the light source covered with the glove is reduced so that the inside of the glove does not have such a high temperature that the infrared ray transmission characteristic of the glove and the lifetime of the light source are not adversely influenced.
