A liquid droplet jetting head includes: a first terminal to which is inputted a clock signal; a second terminal to which are serially inputted liquid droplet jetting-related input data in synchronization with the clock signal inputted to the first terminal and to which are serially inputted control data after the input data; a third terminal to which is inputted a pulse signal when input of the input data to the second terminal is completed; a first holding unit that holds the data inputted to the second terminal at a timing when the pulse signal is inputted to the third terminal; a delay unit that delays the pulse signal inputted to the third terminal; and a second holding unit that holds at least the control data inputted to the second terminal at a timing when the delay unit delays the pulse signal.

Liquid droplet jetting head and liquid droplet jetting apparatus

Objects of the present invention are to facilitate filling out by hand an electronic paper and to realize digitization of contents with which the electronic paper is filled out by hand with a simple structure. A read image is obtained by optically reading a reading-object of the electronic paper. Based on the document information written on the electronic paper and writing-conditions during document writing, which are represented by the document information, a display image of the document in accordance with the read image information is formed. A written image is separated and extracted by converting a density only of pixels among the respective pixels of the read image, whose densities vary in accordance with the document writing and which correspond to a portion, to which ink of a pen for the handwriting is not adhered.

The image forming apparatus includes: an image forming device which has a plurality of nozzles performing droplet ejection of ink to deposit droplets of the ink to form an image onto a prescribed medium; an image reading device which acquires read image data by reading in the image on the medium; a deviation amount calculation device which, for each of the nozzles, calculates a current deviation amount that is a deviation amount in the droplet ejection with respect to a prescribed central value, by finding a weighted average of an initial deviation amount and past N deviation amounts nearest to a current time calculated for the nozzle according to past read image data; and a droplet ejection correction device which corrects the droplet ejection of each of the nozzles according to the current deviation amount of the nozzle calculated by the deviation amount calculation device.

Image forming apparatus and droplet ejection correction method

The liquid ejection head comprises: a plurality of pressure chambers connected to a plurality of nozzles from which liquid is ejected, the pressure chambers being arranged in a two-dimensional configuration; a diaphragm which constitutes a wall of each of the pressure chambers, the wall being located opposite to the nozzles; a plurality of piezoelectric elements disposed at positions corresponding to the pressure chambers on a surface of the diaphragm which is on an opposite side of the diaphragm from the pressure chambers, the piezoelectric elements causing portions of the diaphragm corresponding to the pressure chambers to deform; an intermediate plate which is located on a piezoelectric element side of the diaphragm where the piezoelectric elements are disposed and which forms a space around a periphery of each of the piezoelectric elements; electrical wires for electrically connecting drive circuits which drives the piezoelectric elements with drive electrodes of the piezoelectric elements, the electrical wires being disposed in the intermediate plate; and an ink pool section which is located across the intermediate plate from the diaphragm and which supplies the liquid to the pressure chambers.

The method of manufacturing a liquid ejection head includes the steps of: forming piezoelectric elements on a diaphragm; stacking an intermediate plate which includes recess sections for covering the piezoelectric elements and drive wires connected to the piezoelectric elements, on the diaphragm; connecting an integrated circuit to the drive wires; forming an actuator function unit by electrically and mechanically bonding the diaphragm, the piezoelectric elements, the drive wires, the intermediate plate and the integrated circuit, in such a manner that the piezoelectric elements are electrically driven via the integrated circuit; measuring displacement of the diaphragm by operating the integrated circuit; and bonding a flow path forming member to the actuator function unit after the step of measuring the displacement of the diaphragm, the flow path forming member being provided for forming pressure chambers connected to nozzles and forming a common liquid chamber for storing liquid supplied to the pressure chambers.

The liquid ejection head includes: a nozzle plate which has a plurality of ejection apertures through which a liquid is ejected; a plurality of pressure chambers which are connected respectively to the ejection apertures; a plurality of liquid supply flow channels which supply the liquid respectively to the pressure chambers; a common liquid chamber which supplies the liquid to the liquid supply flow channels; a plurality of pressure generating devices which respectively deform the pressure chambers; and a plurality of electrical wires which supply drive signals to the pressure chamber generating devices, wherein the electrical wires are provided so as to pass through the common liquid chamber.

The liquid ejection apparatus comprises: an ejection head which has an ejection element, the ejection element including an ejection aperture through which a droplet of liquid is ejected onto an ejection receiving medium, a pressure chamber which is connected to the ejection aperture and accommodates the liquid to be ejected from the ejection aperture, and a pressurizing device which applies an ejection pressure to the liquid accommodated in the pressure chamber; a drive signal application device which applies to the pressurizing device a meniscus vibration drive signal for suppressing increase in viscosity of the liquid in vicinity of the ejection aperture by causing a meniscus surface of the liquid to vibrate and to eject no droplet from the ejection aperture; a pressure determination device which determines pressure in the pressure chamber when the meniscus surface is vibrated by the meniscus vibration drive signal; and a judgment device which judges an abnormal state of the ejection element from pressure information of the pressure chamber based on pressure determination information obtained by the pressure determination device.

Liquid ejection head and ejection abnormality determination method

An object of the invention is to obtain a high-quality image by reading an image of an electronic paper with high accuracy. When optically copying the electronic paper, a controller reads out display characteristics such as a reading resolution and a reading light quantity from a display characteristic memory of the electronic paper. The controller performs optical copying processing after setting optimal conditions on the basis of the display characteristics which have been read out from the display characteristic memory.

Image reading apparatus, method of reading image, and image reading system

A holding stand is constituted by a carrying case for holding sheets of electronic paper and a base for uprightly supporting the carrying case that is substantially vertical. From the holding stand, two page fields, each expressing the number of pages of sheets of electronic paper to be displayed and position page field expressing a current page position of electronic paper and incremented on each of the sheets, are added to image data, and the image data is output to the sheets of electronic paper. In each sheets, when the two page fields coincide with each other in comparison between the two page fields, an image based on the image data is displayed in a display region. When the two page fields are different from each other, the position page field is incremented by one, and the position page field is transmitted to the next electronic paper.

The liquid ejection apparatus includes: ejection head which includes: a nozzle through which a droplet of liquid is ejected onto an ejection receiving medium; a pressure chamber which accommodates the liquid to be ejected from the nozzle; and a piezoelectric element which is provided at the pressure chamber and applies an ejection force to the liquid inside the pressure chamber; a pressure sensor which is provided at the pressure chamber and generates a determination signal corresponding to pressure in the pressure chamber; an integration device which integrates the determination signal obtained by the pressure sensor for a prescribed integration time period; and an ejection abnormality judgment device which judges whether or not an ejection abnormality occurs in the nozzle, according to a comparison result of comparing an integration result obtained from the integration device with a previously established threshold value.

An image recording apparatus with good color reproduction and easy color adjusting function. An image recording apparatus includes a first color correction unit coupled to receive image signals from the image signal source, a second color correction unit coupled to receive output image signals of the first color correction unit, and a third color correction unit coupled to receive output image signals of the second color correction unit. The image recording apparatus further includes an adjusting device for at least the first color correction unit and the third color correction unit, and an adjustment information entering device. Good color reproduction is realized with color correction and data compression, and is not accompanied by hue change in color perception. Manufacturing variations in the color output unit are corrected by the third color correction unit. Easy setting of the reference for color adjustment independently of the input image signals is also realized by the unit.
