A cassette tape loading and ejecting mechanism in a tape player for playing back tapes using a driving force of a main motor. The mechanism includes a sun gear provided in part of a mechanism for transmitting the driving force of the main motor. A stationary ring gear is arranged coaxially with the sun gear. A carrier is mounted on a shaft coaxially with the sun gear and is engaged by friction with the sun gear. A planet gear supported by the carrier engages the sun gear and the ring gear. A slot-in type tape cassette holder is driven by the forward and reverse rotation of the carrier for loading and ejecting tape cassettes. The planet gear engages the ring gear when the main gear when the main motor rotates forwardly and the carrier is caused to turn forwardly whereby the planet gear is positioned opposite to an untoothed portion of the ring gear after a tape cassette is loaded and the carrier then stops to allow the playback of the tape continuously. The planet gear again engages the ring gear when the main motor rotates reversely and the carrier turns reversely to cause the tape cassette to be ejected.

Tape casette loading and ejecting mechanism

In a head rotation mechanism in an auto-reverse type tape player, the head rotation mechanism comprising a sector gear engaging with a cam gear provided on a head lead side of a rotary head; a boss extending in the direction opposite to the rotary head side of the sector gear and having a tapered foreend; and a link mechanism for rotating the head. The link mechanism is rocked by the cam gear and equipped with a U-shaped member engaging with the boss on the sector gear. The boss on the sector gear engages with the U-shaped member of the link mechanism for rotating the head only when the rotary head is located at a release position, and the boss is out of contact with the U-shaped member when the rotary head is located ahead of the release position, whereby a reversible rotation of the single cam gear is used to change a direction of the rotary head and move the head forward.

Magnetic head driving mechanism for tape player

A cassette tape recording/reproducing apparatus of the automatic cassette loading type wherein a cassette casing inserted into a cassette inlet of the apparatus is automatically rested on reel bases. A frictional feed roller is disposed adjacent the cassette inlet and adapted to be forced down by the cassette casing being inserted. A drive for imparting a rotational force to the feed roller includes a motor and a gear train interconnecting the motor to the feed roller. A control element responds to the forcing down of the feed roller to actuate the motor to rotate the feed roller, thereby fricationally carrying the cassette casing into the interior of the apparatus. A pair of loading and unloading plates pivoted on a shaft serves to move down the cassette casing which has been carried in place by the feed roller, thereby resting the cassette casing on the reel bases in mating relationship. The gear train selectively interconnects the motor to the feed roller and to one of the reel bases, and in response to the resting of the cassette casing on the reel bases, the motor is disconnected from the feed roller and concurrently interconnected to one of the reel bases through the gear train.

Cassette recording/reproducing apparatus with an automatic loading feed

A cassette deck includes a reel shaft on the tape supply side provided with a tapered portion for engaging a cassette reel and an elastic member supporting the reel from below which prevents the reel from striking the lower wall of the cassette case due to vibration of the deck or the like. The improvement effectively eliminates the generation of wow due to tape deck vibration.

A reel unit rotation stopping sensing mechanism for a tape deck having reel shaft units engageable with a tape unit is disclosed. The reel unit rotation stopping sensing mechanism includes rotational arm means frictionally engaged with the reel shaft units, a rotary mechanism rotatable around a predetermined axis, drive means for imparting a rotational torque to the rotary mechanism, and link mechanism formed between free ends of the rotational arm means and the rotary mechanism for preventing the rotation of the rotary mechanism when at least one of the reel shafts is stopped in rotation.
