Provided is an energy conversion film excellent in charge retention performance and suppressed in deterioration of piezoelectricity even if it is exposed to a high temperature environment and an energy conversion element and the like using the film. An energy conversion element comprising: an energy conversion film at least comprises a charged resin film consisting of a resin film at least containing a thermoplastic resin and a metal soap; and an electrode provided on at least one of the two surfaces of the energy conversion film.

Electretized sheet and filter

A sensor unit capable of protecting a piezoelectric element and detecting vibration and sound is provided. The sensor unit comprises a sheet-like piezoelectric element having a porous layer, and a sound propagation sheet covering at least one face of the piezoelectric element and permitting transmission of sound from a first face toward a second face of the sound propagation sheet. A difference in acoustic pressure level between the sound incident on the sound propagation sheet and the transmitted sound is preferably no greater than 10 dB. A surface density of the sound propagation sheet is preferably from 0.03 g/mto 100 g/m. The sound propagation sheet is preferably flexible and preferably has voids. The sensor unit preferably further comprises a sound insulation sheet covering another face of the piezoelectric element and substantially preventing transmission of sound from a second face toward a first face of the sound insulation sheet.

Piezoelectric element and musical instrument

An object of the present invention is to provide a low pressure loss filter having a high dust- and dirt-collecting capability and excellent workability and sustainability of collecting capability. The filter of the present invention is a filter having air channels formed using an electret sheet; a porosity of the electret sheet being from 1 to 70%; an air channel cross-sectional ratio of the filter being from 10 to 99%; and a volume charge density of the filter being from 10 to 5000 nC/cm.

An energy conversion film, which can hold a larger amount of charges by pores in the inside of the film and has high energy conversion performances, is provided, by obtaining a porous resin film with a high expansion ratio without adopting an expansion treatment with a high-pressure gas by forming a thermoplastic resin stretched film having a specified structure. The energy conversion film includes a core layer (A) having specified pores and composed of a thermoplastic resin stretched film including a thermoplastic resin and at least one of an inorganic powder and an organic filler.

An electrophotographic recording sheet having, on a water-resistant support, a toner-receiving layer containing a liphophilic polymer antistatic agent with a specific surface resistivity of from 1&#xd7;10to 9&#xd7;10&#x3a9;. This electrophotographic recording sheet is excellent in recording quality, fixability, water resistance, durability, color printability and continuous printability.

An electrostatic adsorbable sheet (iii), which has a long-lasting adsorbability not easily affected by humidity, secures good ink adhesiveness, and does not generate troubles in a printing process, is provided. The electrostatic adsorbable sheet (iii) comprises a laminate of a label layer (i) containing a resin film layer (A) and a recording layer (D) on one surface of the resin film layer (A), and a peelable sheet layer (ii) containing a peelable layer (B) and a support layer (C), in which the label layer (i) and the peelable sheet layer (ii) are laminated so that the resin film layer (A) and the peelable layer (B) contact with each other. The peeling strength between the label layer (i) and the peelable sheet layer (ii) is from 1 to 50 g/cm, and the label layer (i) peeled from the peelable sheet layer (ii) is electrostatically adsorbable to an object to be attached.

Disclosed is a method for producing a thermoplastic resin film, which comprises oxidizing the surface of a thermoplastic resin film (i) that contains an unsaturated carboxylic acid-modified polyolefin-based resin, then applying a surface modifier thereto, and stretching it. According to the method, thermoplastic resin films can be produced that have good adhesiveness between the film substrate and the coating layer thereof and have good printability and electrostatic resistance.

Method for producing thermoplastic resin film

A labeled in-mold shaped article in which an in-mold label having a thermoplastic resin-containing substrate layer and a heat-seal layer that contains a heat-seal resin and a water-soluble binder is stuck to a shaped article and in which the in-mold label does not peel off from the shaped article even when the labeled in-mold shaped article is dipped in water at 40&#xb0; C. for 4 days. The labeled in-mold shaped article satisfies both label adhesiveness and delabelability.

Disclosed is a stretched resin film having a liquid absorption coefficient of at least 5 ml/(m&#xb7;ms). The stretched resin film has good liquid absorbability with good seepage resistance. When stuck to objects with a water-base adhesive, it dries within a short period of time and attains good adhesiveness.

The present invention provides less expensive ink jet recording papers having high glossiness and high durability and being capable of quickly absorbing inks without causing bleeding. Accordingly, the present invention provides an ink jet recording paper having an ink-receiving layer provided on a porous resin film, wherein the porous resin film has a liquid absorption capacity measured in accordance with 'Japan TAPPI No.51-87' of 0.5 ml/m2 or above and the ink-receiving layer has a surface glossiness (JIS-Z8741: measuring method at 60&#xb0;) of 40% or above. It is preferable that the ink jet recording paper contains at least one member selected from among alumina, alumina hydrate and amorphous silica in the ink-receiving layer.

Disclosed is a method of surface treatment of a thermoplastic resin film (i) which comprises the steps of subjecting the thermoplastic resin film (i) to surface oxidation, coating the oxidized film with a surface modifier (A) and then stretching the coated film, and which is characterized in that: the surface modifier (A) is an aqueous dispersion prepared by dispersing an olefin copolymer (a) with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride bonded thereto in water along with at least one dispersant (b) selected from the group consisting of nonionic surfactants, nonionic water-soluble polymers, cationic surfactants and cationic water-soluble polymers; the ratio by weight of (a)/(b) in terms of the solid content thereof falls between 100/1 and 100/30; and the mean particle size of the resin in the surface modifier (A) is at most 5 &#x3bc;m. The method can provide a thermoplastic resin film of good melt thermal transfer printability and good offset printability capable of giving prints of good water resistance.
