A cassette cover opening mechanism has a cassette cover opening member for opening the cassette cover of a tape cassette when the cassette is loaded in a video tape recorder. The opening member has a first abutment portion and a second abutment portion. The first portion abuts against the lower edge of a front plate of the cassette cover to pivot the cover during a first half of the movement of a cassette holder from its first position to its second position. The second portion abuts against the lower edge of one of side plates of the cassette cover to further pivot the cover during a latter half of the movement of the cassette holder.

Cassette cover opening mechanism

A video camera with an integral VTR is disclosed, which has a support structure supporting a camera section and a VTR. The support structure has three base plates made integrally with one another and extending perpendicularly to one another. The first base plate is secured to a transverselly central portion of the rear surface of the second base plate. The first and second base plates are secured to the top surface of the third base plate. The VTR is mounted on the first base plate. A mount is secured by bars to the front surface of the second base plate, in such a way that it is spaced at a suitable distance therefrom. An image pickup lens system and an image sensor for converting light into an electrical signal are mounted on the mount. A grip is secured to the underside of a portion of the third base plate, where the first and second base plates cross each other.

Camera with integral magnetic recorder

A magnetic recording system which comprises a recording/reproducing head for effecting recording and reproduction of data with respect to one recording track formed on a magnetic tape, an erasing head disposed in side by side relation with respect to the head and secured thereto, for effecting erasing with respect to two tracks, i.e., the track traced by the recording/reproducing head and the next track, an auto-tracking circuit for compensating for the deviation of the position of the recording/reproducing head with respect to the start track for rerecording, and a switch control section for controlling the operation of the erasing head by causing switching of a switch circuit connected to the erasing head.

Erase features for magnetic multi-track rerecording

A recording and/or reproduction apparatus for an endless tape which includes a hollow fixed reel, the outer wall of which is wound with an endless tape which is conducted from the innermost portion and wound onto the outermost side a head mechanism for scanning the thus guided tape, a pinch roller and capstan which are driven with the tape held therebetween thereby causing the tape to be slackened downstream of the capstan, a swingable arm which releases the pinch roller from the capstan before its rotation is brought to an end, and a guide pin for releasing the tape from the head mechanism, capstan and pinch roller.

Recording-reproduction apparatus for an endless tape

A position shift apparatus having an actuator section for moving up and down a magnetic head through a screw feeding, and a control section in which, when the screw feeding is made in the up direction, it is made by a given distance up to target position and, when in the down direction, it is made beyond the target position, and then is again made by the distance exceeding the target position in the up direction. Even if the head is positioned on either the lower or the upper side, the head is screw-fed toward the target position always in the up direction.

Position shift apparatus

An endless tape cassette including a stationary reel having a slit communicating the inner and outer peripheral sides and carrying an endless tape wound on the outer periphery, guide plates for guiding the endless tape wound on the stationary reel such that it is pulled out from the inner periphery of the tape roll through the slit and taken up on the outer periphery of the tape reel, and a housing accommodating and supporting the stationary reel and guide plates. The housing includes a bottom plate formed with an opening for permitting a tape drive mechanism to be inserted therethrough into housing for operative coupling to said endless tape, a top plate facing said bottom plate, a pair of side plates, a front end plate and a rear end plate. A flexible lid member is provided on the housing to be movable between a first position at which it extends along the bottom plate for closing the opening in the bottom plate and a second position at which it extends along the top plate for opening the opening in the bottom plate.
