The invention provides a dome cover, a camera device, an injection molding die, and an injection molding method in which generation of a weldline is suppressed and deterioration of an acquired image is suppressed. In one aspect of the invention, a dome cover is a dome cover that covers a camera. The dome cover includes a curved section having a curved shape and a skirt section having a cylinder shape and has a top section at the curved section and an opening end section at the skirt section. The thickness of the dome cover is largest at the top section and smallest at the opening end section, and continuously decreases from the top section toward the opening end section. The inner diameter and the outer diameter of the dome cover continuously increase from the top section toward the opening end section.

A lens manufacturing method including a holding step of holding a lens in a lens holding fixture, and a machining step of machining a surface to be machined in the held lens. A reverse surface of the surface to be machined is machined into a non-planar shape with a first surface shape error. A lens holding surface of the lens holding fixture is machined into the same shape as the non-planar shape with a second surface shape error smaller than the first surface shape error. In the holding step, the reverse surface is brought into surface contact with the holding surface in imitation of the holding surface to correct the shape of the lens such that the reverse surface runs along the holding surface. In the machining step, the surface to be machined is machined in a state where the correction has been made by the holding step.

Provided is an element array in which an error in pitch among elements in the element array is absorbed surely in a step of laminating a plurality of element arrays so that each group of the elements arrayed in the laminating direction can be aligned with high accuracy. Disclosed is a method of manufacturing an optical element capable of increasing surface accuracy of an optical surface of an optical element with a plastic lens portion. A cavity which is formed when a pair of molds are closed has a compression molding space and an annular injection molding space, and the method includes a compression molding step of casting a compression molding material into the compression molding space of the molds and an injection molding step of injecting an injection molding material into the injection molding space in a state where the molds are closed and forming an injection molded portion at the outer circumferential edge of the compression molded compression molding material. In the injection molding step, before the compression molding material reaches a temperature lower than the glass transition temperature, the injection of the injection molding material starts.

In order to produce high-quality optical elements stably at all times without the flow of molten resin inside an injection molding cavity being hindered by the protrusion of the outer peripheral edge of a lens after compression molding, a cavity formed when a pair of molds for molding is closed is provided with: an optical-function-part molding cavity (); an annular connection-part molding cavity () connected to the outer peripheral edge of the optical-function-part molding cavity; and an edge-part molding cavity () connected to the outer peripheral edge of the connection-part molding cavity. In a compression molding step, a protrusion part is formed by making a portion of a compression molding material bulge out from the connection-part molding cavity into the edge-part molding cavity (). In an injection molding step, the molds are filled by injecting an injection molding material into the edge-part molding cavity (). The resin of the protrusion part that has protruded from the connection-part molding cavity into the edge-part molding cavity () is biased toward one direction of the molds so as not to hinder the flow of the injection molding resin. The biased amount is set such that, when the cross section of the resin that has protruded into the edge-part molding cavity () is divided by a perpendicular bisector (L) that is perpendicular to the optical axis and that divides the thickness of the connection part in half, the cross-sectional area on the biased side includes greater than or equal to 60% of the cross-sectional area of the protruded resin.

In a composite molded lens, a press-formed lens body is integral with an injection-molded lens frame. The lens body has a lens portion and a flange portion surrounding the lens portion. Eight projections are radially formed on a top surface of the flange portion. The height of the projection increases toward an outer peripheral edge side of the flange portion. A recess is formed on an outer peripheral edge face of the flange portion and located at a position on a line extending from the projection. The recess increases torsional resilience of a joint surface between the lens body and the lens frame and strengthens bonding force there between.

Composite molded lens and method for producing the same

There are provided a lens that is molded with high accuracy and a method of molding the lens. The lens has an optical axis and includes a pair of optical functional surfaces on front and rear surfaces thereof. The lens includes an optical functional portion that includes the pair of optical functional surfaces, an edge portion that is provided at an outer periphery of the optical functional portion, and a connecting portion that is provided between the optical functional portion and the edge portion, connects the optical functional portion with the edge portion, and is thinner than the edge portion in a direction of the optical axis.

Lens and method of molding lens

A mold for molding a product in a cavity formed by closing the mold is provided. The mold includes a first half; a second half; and a plurality of aligning members which contact respective outer circumferential surfaces of a first die of the first half and a second die of the second half, at least in three directions, when the mold is closed. At least one of the aligning members is moved toward the outer circumferential surfaces of the first die and the second die, and then each of the aligning members sandwiches the first die and the second die, which enables a center axis alignment between the first die and the second die.

Mold

In a mold, at least a first half includes an insert member forming a cavity surface on one end side; a body member having an insertion part into which the insert member is inserted; and an insert member fixer interposed between the insert member and the insertion part, for holding the insert member. The insert member fixer is made of a shape memory alloy, and presses and holds the insert member when the insert member fixer restores its memorized shape, to make a center axis alignment of the insert member with respect to the body member.

Mold and molding method

The present invention aims to allow production of a molded item having a highly precise shape. A molding metal mold is provided having a movable metal mold (first metal mold) and a fixed metal mold (second metal mold) defining a cavity therebetween in which a molded item is produced. The movable metal mold has a first convex taper tapering toward the fixed metal mold. The fixed metal mold has a first concave taper fittable with the first convex taper. The first convex taper and the first concave taper are arranged so that, when fitted to each other, respective taper surface abut to each other first, and then a clamping force of the movable metal mold and the fixed metal mold causes an abutting between an end surface and a bottom surface which are respective parting surfaces of the movable metal mold and the fixed metal mold around the cavity. The molding metal mold is used to produce a molded item by means of injection molding, for example.

A mold for molding a product in a cavity formed by closing the mold includes a first half; a second half; and a plurality of aligning members which come in contact with each side circumferential surface of the first halfand the second half at least in three directions, when the mold is closed. After the mold is closed, at least one of the aligning members is moved to contact the aligning member with the each side circumferential surface of the first half and the second half, which enables a center axis alignment between the first half and the second half.
