A method implemented in a computer system includes training a network, which is obtained by unfolding an iterative algorithm for demodulation or demodulation and decoding, using a machine learning technique with a loss function that takes into account non-Gaussianity of a log-likelihood ratio (LLR) distribution calculated from an output of the network. The method further includes producing a first set of learned parameters of that iterative algorithm.

Receiver apparatus, and method for producing parameters for demodulation

A BP detector of a wireless receiver apparatus reads a first parameter set or a second parameter set. The first parameter set includes a plurality of scaling factors and a plurality of damping factors learned together using a deep learning technique. The second parameter set includes a plurality of scaling factors and a plurality of node selection factors learned together using a deep learning technique from a memory. The BP detector executes an iterative BP algorithm that uses the first parameter set or the second parameter set in order to perform multi-user detection.

A microwave base station estimates a first position of a terminal station that has transmitted millimeter-wave signal quality information and a second position of a terminal station that has transmitted a data bandwidth reservation request and transmits the millimeter-wave signal quality information and the first position or the data bandwidth reservation request and the second position to a control station, and the control station stores the millimeter-wave signal quality information and the first position in a database in association with each other and determines, for the terminal station that has transmitted the data bandwidth reservation request, a millimeter-wave base station with which communication is to be performed, a first directivity, and a second directivity by referring to the database by using the second position, and allocates a radio resource based on the determined millimeter-wave base station, first directivity, and second directivity.

A communication device comprising a transmission unit and a reception unit. The reception unit is configured to receive a first Discrete Fourier Transform-spread-OFDM (DFT-S-OFDM) signal from the first communication device using the first information and a second Discrete Fourier Transform-spread-OFDM (DFT-S-OFDM) signal from the second communication device using the second information. Also, in the communication device, a portion of the second set of subcarriers can overlap with at least a portion of the first set of subcarriers in a time frame of a plurality of time frames.

To provide a system that can accommodate a greater number of terminals within a limited band and can obtain a higher transmission rate. While the number of frequency signals (spectrums) output in parallel by performing a spread spectrum from the DFT unit of each terminal is 12, the number of sub-carriers constituting one sub-channel is set at 10 or 11. In this case, the users (users A and G) allocated to the sub-channels at both ends of the band will not perform transmission of one frequency signal at the end (one sub-carrier) of all the frequency signals output from the DFT unit, whereas the users (users B to F) allocated to the other sub-channels will not perform transmission of the frequency signals at the ends (two sub-carriers). This transmission can be realized by deleting (clipping) the associated number of signals from both ends or from one end of the frequency signals output from the DFT unit of each terminal and allocating the frequency signals after clipping, to individual sub-channels.

In the preamble A generating unitand the preamble B generating unit, a preamble A and a preamble B (see the packet format in FIG.) are generated, respectively. The preamble A is outputted to the multiplexing unitsand, while the preamble B is outputted to the phase rotating unitsand. The phase rotating unitsandto which the preamble B has been inputted give continuous phase rotation to subcarriers of the preamble B. In the transmitting device of the base station according to this embodiment, the phase rotating unitdoes not give phase rotation, but only the phase rotating unitgives phase rotation to the preamble B.
