A torque transmission shaft includes a shaft and a clamp. The shaft includes: a male serration in one axial end portion; a slit in the other axial end portion, the slit axially extending and having a closed end on one side and an open end on the other side; a fitting cylinder portion in the other axial end portion; and a female serration provided in of the other axial end portion. The clamp includes: a discontinuous portion arranged at one place in the circumferential direction; a pair of flange portions arranged on both sides of the discontinuous portion; a connecting portion connecting the flange portions; and an insertion hole for fitting cylinder portion. The clamp is fitted onto the fitting cylinder portion to reduce the diameter of the fitting cylinder portion by narrowing the width dimension of the discontinuous portion.

Torque transmission shaft

Provided is an outer tube including a solid-shaped male-shaft portion and a bottomed cylindrical female-tube portion integrally formed with the male shaft portion. A hole cover is externally fitted to the female-tube portion and closes a gap between a dash panel separating the vehicle cabin interior and the vehicle cabin exterior of a vehicle body and the outer tube. In an assembled state in the vehicle body, the solid male-shaft portion is arranged in the vehicle cabin exterior, and an opening portion of a slide hole provided in the female-tube portion is arranged in the vehicle cabin interior.

The torque transmission shaft has a shaft having a hollow tubular shape and a clamp. The shaft has a connecting portion integral with the shaft at one axial end portion, a slit extending in the axial direction in a portion on the other axial end side and opens on the other side in the axial direction, and a female serration on the inner circumferential surface of the other axial end portion. The clamp is separate from the shaft and has a non-continuous portion at one location in the circumferential direction, a pair of flange portions on both sides of the non-continuous portion, and a connecting portion connecting the pair of flange portions in the circumferential direction. The clamp is externally fitted and fixed to the other axial end portion of the shaft and reduces the diameter of the other axial end side portion of the shaft.

To provide a dust cover capable of maintaining a state in which a first flexible part and a second flexible part of a bellows are fitted onto a mounting member. A dust cover includes a bushing, a bellows, and a mounting member. The mounting member has a main body and a flange part.

Dust cover

A seal ring () configured to be employed with a cross shaft () including a center section () and four shaft sections () extending in four directions from the center section and formed with step faces () where the center section widens out from base ends of the shaft sections outward in radial directions of the shaft sections, and with bearings () for mounting to leading end portions of the shaft sections. The seal ring is fitted over the shaft section and interposed between the bearing and the step face. The seal ring includes a seal lip () configured to contact the step face around the entire circumference, and an indentation () the seal lip enters by deforming when mounted to the cross shaft.

A support bracket is arranged inside a slit of an outer column and joined to the inner column so as to be able to detach due to an impact load applied to the inner column at the time of a secondary collision. A base portion of an impact absorbing member is attached to the inner column so as to displace together with the inner column when the inner column displaces toward the front, and a folded portion of the impact absorbing member is made to face a jerking portion of the support bracket in the front-rear direction.

Steering column device

The torque transmission shaft includes: a shaft that is integrally formed and that has a yoke provided at one end portion in the axial direction and a female serration provided on the inner peripheral surface at the other end in the axial direction; and a clamp that is separate from the shaft and that is capable of reducing the diameter of the other end portion of the shaft in the axial direction; wherein the shaft and the clamp are fixed together.

The shaft coupling structure includes: a male joint, and a female shaft that is coupled to male joint. The outer peripheral surface of the male joint has an outer peripheral side concave-convex portion having a concave-convex shape in the circumferential direction and an annular concave groove, and the inner peripheral surface of the female shaft has an inner peripheral side concave-convex portion having a concave-convex shape in the circumferential direction. The outer peripheral side concave-convex portion and the inner peripheral side concave-convex portion engage with a concave-convex engagement. The outer peripheral surface of the male joint and an end portion on one side of the female shaft in the axial direction are welded and fixed together, and an embossed portion provided on the inner peripheral surface of the female shaft is arranged on the inner side of the annular concave groove.

Shaft coupling structure and telescopic shaft

A structure capable of preventing improper wheel alignment even when, for example, an accident such as a collision accident, steered wheels riding on a curb, or the like occurs is realized. A telescopic shaft in which the inner shaft () and the outer tube () are combined with each other by a spline engagement between the male spline portion () provided on one end portion in the axial direction of the outer-circumferential surface of the inner shaft () and the female spline portion () provided on the other end portion of the inner-circumferential surface of the outer tube () such that torque can be transmitted and the entire length of the telescopic shaft can be extended and contracted, the inner shaft () having an inner-side small-diameter cylindrical portion () provided on a portion of the inner shaft () that is located further on the other side than the edge of the other end in the axial direction of the outer tube () and having an outer-diameter dimension that is smaller than the adjacent portions on both sides in the axial direction thereof, is provided.

Telescopic shaft

An electric power steering apparatus has a first rolling bearing and a second rolling bearing rotatably supporting an output shaft. The first rolling bearing is provided between an inner peripheral surface of a through-hole of a gear housing and an outer peripheral surface of the output shaft. The second rolling bearing is provided between an inner peripheral surface of an intermediate plate and the outer peripheral surface of the output shaft. The intermediate plate has an outer peripheral portion supported and fixed in an opening portion of the gear housing.

Electric power steering apparatus

At least one of the vehicle body side through holes and the column side through hole is an adjusting long hole which is long in a direction in which a position of the steering wheel can be adjusted. A base end portion of the adjusting lever includes a lever side through hole penetrating through the base end portion in the width direction. The adjusting rod is press-fitted into the lever side through hole.

Position adjusting apparatus of steering wheel

A steering wheel position adjustment device includes a displacement bracket fixed to a steering column, a pair of support plate parts for interposing the displacement bracket, an adjustment rod inserted in a through hole in the displacement bracket and in through holes in the support plate parts, a pair of pressing parts provided at both ends of the adjustment rod, an adjustment lever provided to one end of the adjustment rod and configured to expand and contract an interval between the pressing parts, and a rotating friction plate. The rotating friction plate is interposed between the displacement bracket and the support plate parts and/or between the support plate parts and the pressing parts. The rotating friction plate has a base end portion rotatably supported by a rotation support shaft, and a tip half portion formed with a long guide hole with which the adjustment rod is engaged.

Steering wheel position adjustment device

A torque transmission joint has a shock-absorbing member between a drive shaft and a driven shaft. When the drive shaft is rotated in one direction, forces due to torque transmitted from the drive shaft to the driven shaft act inward in a radial direction of the shock-absorbing member on held sections that are held between one side surfaces in the circumferential direction of drive-side arm sections that are positioned in the front side in the one direction of rotation of the drive shaft, and side surfaces in the circumferential direction of driven-side arm sections that are positioned on the rear side in the one direction of rotation of the drive shaft.

Torque transmission joint and electric power steering apparatus

Provided is a torque-transmission jointthat is able to reduce the thrust force that is transmitted between the output shaftof an electric motorand a worm shaftwithout generating noise. A shock-absorbing memberthat is made using an elastic material is assembled between a driving-side transmission memberthat is supported by the output shaftand a driven-side memberthat is supported by the worm shaft. Held sectionsof the shock-absorbing memberare located between the side surfaces in the circumferential direction of driving-side arm sectionsof the driving-side transmission memberand side surfaces in the circumferential direction of driven-side arm sectionsof the driven-side transmission member. A damper sectionis integrally provided with the shock-absorbing member, and that damper sectionis elastically held between the tip-end surface of the output shaftand the base-end surface of the worm shaft

A shock-absorbing member comprises held sections located at a plurality of locations in a circumferential direction and comprising paired held sections and non-paired held sections, and is constructed to have a non-circular cylindrical shape in cross-section. Portions where outer-diameter side end sections of held sections that are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction are made continuous by way of outer-diameter side cover sections, and portions where inner-diameter side end sections of held sections that are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction are made continuous directly or by way of inner-diameter side cover sections, in an alternating sequence in the circumferential direction. Drive-side arm sections are placed between the non-paired held sections, driven-side arm sections are placed between the paired held sections, and the outer circumferential surfaces of the drive-side arm sections are covered by the outer-diameter side cover sections.
