A camera-integrated VTR system including a printer embodying a data processing device of the invention is provided, wherein various external data supplied from an external device and internal data generated or recorded internally are enabled to be exchanged selectively, easily and directly between respective components of the system without use of any additional component therebetween so as to be printed instantaneously. The printer of the camera-integrated VTR system comprises a picture display device; a memory device for storing a still picture displayed on the picture display device; and a print operation button for operating the printer, wherein the print operation button is a pushbutton switch which has two modes of states of a half-depressed mode and a full-depressed mode; and wherein the half-depressed mode of the print operation button allows for a portion of pictures displayed on the display device to be selected as a print picture and stored in the memory device; and the full-depressed mode of the print operation button allows to start printing of the print picture.

Data processing device for camera-integrated VTR, printer thereof, and method for operating the printer

A stable condition for a printing operation regarding an apparatus having a printer unit and a battery unit, eliminating problems related to lack of a battery power during the printing operation performed by the battery, specifically for a portable apparatus using the battery, is obtained by an apparatus having the printer unit in which the printing operation is performed by processing data inputted from outside an embodiment thereof and/or data stored therein, in which the apparatus having the printer unit can be activated by the battery and perform communication with the battery so that, based on received information related to the remaining power of the battery as well as calculating the printing enabling power based on, for example, temperatures outside and/or inside the apparatus and the amount of data to be printed out, the remaining power of the battery is compared with the printing enabling power and, if the remaining power of the battery is lower than the printing enabling power, then a condition of inability of execution of printing operation is established and informed to a user in order to restrain printing action.

Integrated imaging and printing apparatus

There is provided an ink ribbon cassette which prevents damage and pollution of a part of an ink ribbon exposed outside of a cassette case housing the ink ribbon. In the ink ribbon cassette in which the part of the ink ribbon housed in the cassette case is exposed outside of the cassette case, a detachably attached cover body for covering the part of the ink ribbon exposed outside of the cassette case is provided.

Connector plug

The terminal portion 83 of a contact 82 is of a groove type, with a larger diameter than the lead wire diameter, and includes small holes 84 drilled and installed in the bottom of the groove. By such a construction, when the solder 19 flows in between the terminal portion 83 and the lead wire by the surface tension, the air between the terminal portion 83 and the lead wire discharges through the small holes 84, thus preventing formation of an air layer between the terminal portion 83 and the lead wire. The holes 84 permit solder to enter the holes to discharge the air, but are sufficiently small to prevent solder from flowing therethrough and dripping out of the groove. By observing whether or not the solder has flowed into the small holes 84 it is possible to confirm whether the solder has entered the clearance between the lead wire and the terminal.

A connector socket features a shield case 44, an upper lid of the shield 45, and a shield base plate 46 which are each made of conductive metal plate, and which enclose and cover a housing 43 in such a way that the housing 43, which is composed of the insulating material, can be connected to a wiring plate 14. The shield case 44 includes a side plate portion 58 which fits along both sides of the housing 43 in a manner which engages centrally located engaging portion 56, a lid which covers the upper portion of the shield case 44, and a shield base which is applied to the lower surface of the housing 43. The three pieces are fixed by way of screw fastening pieces 74, 61 and 69 which are respectively integral with the shield case 44, upper lid of the shield 45 and the shield base plate 46, into a single unit and has a connection piece 62 which is integral with the shield base plate 46 and which extends from one side of the shield case and contacts the wiring plate 14.
