Communications are performed between a mobile unit and a terminal device. The mobile unit is provided with a communication device that is capable of communicating with the terminal device if it is connected electrically with a power supply. When an engine key switch signal is off, the electrical connection between the power supply and the communication device is turned on and off intermittently.

A device for presenting information on a mobile includes mobiles and terminals interconnected intercommunicably through communication means, wherein a terminal transmits, to the mobile concerned, mobile identification data on a mobile to which a request for mobile information is to be made, request content identification data representing the contents of mobile information to be requested, and terminal identification data on the terminal being the presentee to which the requested contents is to be presented. The mobile acquires mobile information requested by the terminal and sends it to the terminal being the presentee. The stored contents in storage means is updated each time operation of input for requesting information from a mobile is made through the terminal and the mobile acquires new mobile information. The updated stored contents is transmitted to the terminal being the requester when the terminal requests the updated stored contents.

A topography measuring device which comprises a visual camera mounted on a vehicle for measuring a distance to subject topographical features to be measured; an absolute position detecting unit mounted on the vehicle for detecting a three-dimensional absolute position of the vehicle; a topographical coordinate measuring unit for determining three-dimensional position data on the subject topographical features of a vehicle coordinate system based on the image pickup data by the visual camera; a coordinate conversion unit for converting the three-dimensional position data on the subject topographical features of the vehicle coordinate system determined by the topographical coordinate measuring unit using detected data of the absolute position detecting unit into three-dimensional position data of an absolute coordinate system; an image pickup position instructing unit for instructing the vehicle on a plurality of different vehicle positions for taking the images of the subject topographical features by the image pickup unit; and a topographical data producing unit for producing topographical data on the subject topographical features by synthesizing the conversion data of the coordinate conversion unit based on the image pickup data of the visual camera at the plurality of different vehicle positions instructed by the image pickup position instructing unit, whereby topographical features of a mine, ground, working face and the like where the vehicle cannot move can be measured efficiently.

An object whose position is to be measured is provided with a light-emitting element, the luminance of the light-emitting element is varied in two levels (lit/extinguished) with a prescribed period, images of four consecutive frames are successively acquired, one frame being an image picked up in a time of 1/4 of the period of this variation of luminance, of the four consecutive frames, a first difference image of the first frame and third frame and a second difference image of the second frame and fourth frame are acquired, and, of the first difference image and second difference image, the difference image of greatest lightness is selected. This selected difference image is always the difference image between the image during the lit period of the light-emitting element and the image during the extinguished period. Pixels whose lightness is greater than a prescribed threshold value in this selected difference image is detected as the position of the light-emitting element, and the position relative to the object is thereby calculated.
