The touch panel includes an upper wiring board and a lower wiring board. The upper wiring board includes an upper conductive layer formed on an upper substrate, and an upper electrode wire electrically connected to the upper conductive layer. The lower wiring board includes a lower conductive layer formed on a lower substrate, a lower electrode wire electrically connected to the lower conductive layer, and a lead wire electrically connected to the lower conductive layer. The lead wire is thinner than the upper electrode wire and overlaps the upper electrode wire in plan view. A center line of a range in which the upper electrode wire and the lead wire overlap each other is shifted with respect to a center line of the upper electrode wire.

Touch panel

A telecommunications system includes at least one telecommunications device and a server that is able to communicate with the telecommunications device over a network. The telecommunications device includes: a storage section in which stored is property information that identifies the device itself uniquely; and a communications section which sends the property information to the server when communicating with the server for the first time. The server includes: a storage device; a server communications section which receives the property information; and a controller which secures a storage space associated with that property information in the storage device on receiving the property information. The controller generates account information which allows a user to have access to the storage space secured and which is associated with the property information gotten. The server communications section sends the account information to the telecommunications device that has transmitted the property information.

A touch panel includes an upper substrate having insulating property, an upper conductive layer on a lower surface of the upper substrate, an intermediate layer on a lower surface of the upper conductive layer, an upper electrode on a lower surface of the intermediate layer, a lower conductive layer facing the upper conductive layer with a predetermined gap interposed between the conductive layers, a lower electrode on an upper surface of the lower conductive layer, and a lower substrate on a lower surface of the lower conductive layer and having insulating property. The upper and lower electrodes contain 70 wt. % to 98 wt. % of conductive metal. The intermediate layer contains a resin and 40 wt. % to 90 wt. % of carbon and has a thickness ranging from 1 &#x3bc;m to 50 &#x3bc;m. The touch panel has resistance to environment and is applicable to a large size.

A surge absorbing element has a first electrode, a second electrode, and a ceramic layer. The second electrode is opposed to the first electrode. The ceramic layer has a polycrystal structure including a plurality of crystal grains showing voltage nonlinearity, and is at least partially brought into contact with the first electrode and the second electrode. The ceramic layer has a void inside therein, and surface discharge is generated on surfaces, exposed to the void, of the crystal grains, whereby electric conduction is attained between the first and second electrodes.

Surge absorbing element

A piezoelectric ceramic composition including three components, Pb(ZnNb)O, PbTiO, and PbZrO, and having a basic composition formula of Pb(ZnNb)ZrTiO, where 0.90&#x3c;x+y+z&#x3c;1.0, exhibits excellent piezoelectric characteristics and heat resistance and has a low sintering temperature of about 900&#xb0; C., a coupling coefficient Kp not less than 0.50, and a Curie temperature not lower than 300&#xb0; C. A piezoelectric device using this composition may employ inexpensive silver and silver-palladium alloys containing a high percentage of silver as material of an internal electrode, thus being inexpensive and having excellent characteristics.

Piezoelectric porcelain composition, laminated piezoelectric device therefrom and process for producing the same

A piezoelectric ceramic compound expressed by a basic formula of Pb(ZnNb)ZrTiO(where 0.90&#x3c;a+x+y&#x3c;1.00) is provided. The starting materials for the piezoelectric ceramic compound are calcined. The calcined material is milled to provide powder. A formed body containing the powder is provided. The formed body is degreased at a temperature having the formed body not sintered. A sintered body is provided by sintering the degreased body. The sintered body is heated to subject the sintered body to predetermined heat treatment. The sintered body subjected to the predetermined heat treatment is polarized to provide the sintered body with a piezoelectric property, thus providing a piezoelectric ceramic device. This piezoelectric ceramic composition can be sintered together with an electrode consisting mainly of Ag at a low temperature. Even after the sintering, the composition has its insulation resistance not decrease and has its piezoelectric properties not decline. The piezoelectric ceramic composition has its insulation resistance not decrease even in high-temperature and high-humidity condition, thus having stable characteristics.

Method of producing piezoelectric ceramic device

A laminated piezoelectric transformer according to the present invention comprises (a) a laminated body formed by laminating a plurality of ceramic layers and a plurality of internal electrodes and (b) a plurality of external electrodes electrically connected with the internal electrodes and disposed on the surface of the laminated body. Further, the internal electrodes of the laminated piezoelectric transformer of the invention are characterized by having a plurality of primary internal electrodes positioned at the middle portion along the longitudinal direction of the laminated body and a plurality of secondary internal electrodes positioned at both end portions of the laminated body. By virtue of this configuration of the invention, the polarization volume on the secondary side can be enlarged and, therefore, the laminated piezoelectric transformer of the invention can step up voltages at high energy conversion efficiency.
