A diaphragm spring device comprising a diaphragm spring including a plurality of tongues having radially inner ends adapted to be pushed in an axially foward direction by a release bearing, an annular lever plate seated on the rear surfaces of the ends of the tongues and having a portion through which the radially inner ends of the tongues are pushed by the release bearing, an annular fixing bushing fixed to the inner periphery of the lever plate, and having a spring seat flange at the forward end, which is located in front of the tongues and projects radially outwardly beyond the adjacent end of the lever plate, and a conical spring interposed between the flange and the tongues.

In a pull-type clutch which performs release operation through a load transmission lever disposed between a load transmission retainer and a pressure plate, the load transmission lever comprising protrusions provided on its base end portion at which the lever is in engagement with an annular groove of the retainer and projecting toward abutment surfaces of the groove.

Clutch brake

A clutch brake having a brake assembly interconnected to a rotatable shaft through means of driving function and a cover assembly provided with an external friction surface and carried rotatably in relation to said brake assembly; characterized by that a coned disc spring is interposed in said cover assembly, and a friction plate composing said cover assembly is pressed on a friction member composing said brake assembly by means of said coned disc spring.

A clutch disc equipped with an organic facing for light load and a cerametallic facing for heavy load which are arranged adjacently in a circumferential direction of a driven plate, characterized by that thickness of the cerametallic facing is made larger than that of the orgainc facing and at the same time a cushion is formed at a part on which the organic facing of said driven plate is lined.

A clutch having an adjustable diaphragm spring engaging lever and a release bearing for disengaging the clutch. The clutch disc is spline fitted onto an input shaft of transmission. A sleeve, having the release bearing fastened at its transmission end, is fitted on the outer periphery of the input shaft. A load transmitting retainer is fitted on the clutch end of the sleeve. A clutch cover, covering the clutch and flywheel is mounted on the flywheel. A diaphragm spring is disposed between the clutch cover and the retainer. A clutch lever is fulcrummed at its inner end to a groove in the retainer ring and at its outer end to an adjustable member on the clutch cover for engaging and disengaging the clutch disc with the pressure plate and flywheel.

A wet clutch disc has an output shaft, a hub, a radial flange provided at the hub, a pair of side plates connected through a spring to the flange, a friction facing being adapted to be pressed onto a flywheel and connected to one of the side plates, a friction mechanism disposed radially inside the spring, a lubricating oil feed passage provided inside the output shaft for feeding the lubricating oil and an outlet for supplying the lubricating oil to the friction facing and characterized in that the output shaft is provided with a passage for the friction mechanism extending from the feed passage to the inner periphery of the hub and the hub is provided with a passage connected to the passage for the friction mechanism in the output shaft and opening at the outer periphery of the hub.

A wet clutch accompanying rotation preventing device for use in a wet clutch unit which keeps a clutch hub of an input shaft side engaged with a clutch case by spline fitting the clutch case onto an output shaft freely movably in the axial direction and by utilizing an elastic force of a clutch spring; in which an annular friction plate forming a frictional surface on its flank is fitted onto the clutch case so as to rotate just together with the case and so as to be restricted its movement thereto in the axial direction, a stationary member for braking the clutch case facing towards the frictional surface of the friction plate with a clearance kept between them, the clutch unit is disengaged and simultaneously said frictional surface of said friction plate contacts with the stationary member to brake the clutch case when the clutch case is moved in the axial direction in order to disengage the clutch unit.

A clutch and brake device having a clutch hub of an input shaft side engaged with a clutch case by spline fitting the clutch case onto an output shaft freely movable in the axial direction and by utilizing an elastic force of a clutch spring. An annular friction plate forming a frictional surface on its flank is fitted onto the clutch case so as to rotate together with the case so as to be restricted in its movement thereto in the axial direction. A non-rotational member for braking the clutch case is made to face towards the frictional surface of the friction plate with a clearance kept between them. The clutch unit is disengaged and simultaneously the friction plate contacts with the non-rotational member to brake the clutch case when the clutch case is moved in the axial direction in order to disengage the clutch unit.
