A centrifugal compressor includes an impeller rotatably disposed and having a plurality of first blades and a shroud cover disposed on a leading edge side of the first blades partially in a rotational axis direction of the impeller and connecting the first blades circumferentially adjacent to each other. The shroud cover is shaped such that a position of at least one of an upstream edge or a downstream edge of the shroud cover in the rotational axis direction changes along a circumferential direction of the shroud cover.

Centrifugal compressor and turbocharger including the same

A turbocharger (A) has a back plate (). The back plate () is provided with a plate section () and a flange section () which is formed radially outside the plate section () and which is supported so as to be sandwiched between a bearing housing () and a turbine housing (). The turbocharger (A) is further provided with a flange heat shielding section () provided between the flange section () and the bearing housing () and consisting of a material having lower heat conductivity than the turbine housing () and the back plate ().

This turbocharger (A) is provided with: a rotating shaft (); a turbine wheel (); a compressor wheel (); a bearing housing () provided with journal bearings (A,B) for rotatably supporting a shaft (), and a thrust bearing () for supporting the rotating shaft () in the center axis (C) direction thereof; and a turbine housing () in which the turbine wheel () is accommodated. A fluid supply section (A) for supplying a fluid to the turbine wheel () is provided within the turbine housing () and said fluid presses the turbine wheel () toward a first end () side.

A turbocharge includes: a compressor wheel; a turbine wheel configured to rotate with the compressor wheel; a turbine housing disposed so as to cover the turbine wheel; a bearing supporting a rotational shaft of the turbine wheel rotatably; and a bearing housing accommodating the bearing. One of the turbine housing or the bearing housing includes a fin portion protruding toward the other one of the turbine housing or the bearing housing so as to extend along an axial direction of the rotational shaft, and, between the turbine housing and the bearing housing, a cavity is formed on each side of the fin portion with respect to a radial direction of the rotational shaft.

A turbine impeller includes: a hub portion coupled to an end of a rotational shaft; a plurality of main blades disposed at intervals on a peripheral surface of the hub portion; and a short blade disposed between two adjacent main blades among the plurality of main blades. An inter-blade flow channel is formed between the two adjacent main blades so that a fluid flows through the inter-blade flow channel from an outer side toward an inner side of the turbine impeller in a radial direction. In a meridional plane, a hub-side end of a leading edge of the short blade is disposed on an inner side, in the radial direction, of a hub-side end of a leading edge of the main blade.

Turbine impeller and variable geometry turbine

A turbine is provided with a turbine rotor blade, and a turbine housing having a scroll part extending along a circumferential direction of the turbine rotor blade. The scroll part is configured such that an A/R ratio of a flow passage area A to a distance R between an axis of the turbine rotor blade and a flow passage center of the scroll part has a concave distribution at least in a part of a graph where an abscissa represents a circumferential position around the axis of the turbine rotor blade and an ordinate represents the A/R ratio.

Turbine

An object of the present invention is to decrease a surging limit flow rate at a low flow rate time, by increasing the inflow velocity to the blade of the impeller wheel, by providing a resistive element that narrows in the radial direction a passage cross section of an air intake passage which communicates between a impeller wheel of a centrifugal compressor and an air intake opening. The centrifugal compressor includes: the compressor housinghaving the air intake openingopened in a rotary shaft direction, and the air intake passage; and the impeller wheelfor compressing the air flowing in from the air intake opening, inside the housing. The resistive elementsandagainst the air intake flow are provided in either the inner peripheral wallside portion or the center side portion of the air intake passage, so that, at the low flow rate time, a cross-sectional area of the air intake passageis narrowed by the resistive elementsandthereby increasing the inflow velocity to the bladeof the impeller wheel, and the intake air flow is biased to the hub side of the blade, and the intake air flow is biased to flow to the hub side or the shroud side of the blade

Centrifugal compressor

A motor rotor structure for an electric turbo charger is manufactured at low cost with good quality by fixedly fitting, over a shaft, a rotor core having electromagnetic steel sheets pre-formed as an integrated stack. The rotor structure includes a rotor core which is rotated by a magnetic field formed by a stator in a housing; a shaft configured to rotate a compressor impeller and the rotor core together; and a bearing supporting the shaft. The rotor includes the rotor core including the electromagnetic steel sheets; a stopper portion formed at an intermediate portion of the shaft to restrict axial movement of the rotor core; and a pressing unit which presses the rotor core fitted over the shaft against the stopper portion. The pressing unit prevents a circumferential phase shift between the shaft and the rotor core by a pressing force thereof.

Motor rotor structure for electric turbo charger and method of assembling same

An object is to provide an engine system including an intake bypass device whereby it is possible to expand the operation range of a compressor without causing the output of a turbine to become insufficient. An engine system includes an intake bypass device including a bypass channel connecting a downstream side of a compressor of a turbocharger in an intake channel and an upstream side of a turbine of the turbocharger in an exhaust channel, a bypass valve disposed in the bypass channel and configured to control a flow of compressed intake air in the bypass channel, and a heating unit for heating the compressed intake air flowing through the bypass channel.

Compressor of exhaust gas turbocharger

The present invention provides a compressor housing capable of reducing the weight of a compressor without leading to an increase in the size and a reduction in the efficiency of the compressor. The compressor housing includes: an inner cylinder made of a plastic material and extending in an axial direction and in a circumferential direction to surround blade tips of the blades; and an outer cylinder made of a plastic material and extending in the axial direction and in the circumferential direction to surround the inner cylinder. The inner cylinder and the outer cylinder are bonded or jointed at the first end, opposite the second end where the volute is formed.

Compressor housing

A centrifugal compressor having a wide operating range, being economically efficient and high reliability in terms of a stable operation is provided. A centrifugal compressor including a partition wall for dividing a flow channel in the diffuser section and the volute section into a plurality of channels in the direction of circulation of the fluid so as to define a hub-side flow channel and a shroud-side flow channel; and a flow rate adjusting valve for lowering the flow rate of the fluid flowing in the shroud-side flow channel to increase the flow rate in the hub-side flow channel when the flow rate of the fluid compressed by an impeller is low and not lowering the flow rate of the fluid flowing the shroud-side flow channel to allow the fluid to flow both in the shroud-side flow channel and the hub-side flow channel when the flow rate of the fluid compressed by the impeller is high is employed.

An exhaust turbo-supercharger having a high efficiency is provided. The exhaust turbo-supercharger includes therein an exhaust turbine housing including a spiral channel and a turbine-accommodating chamber connected to an innermost peripheral part of the spiral channel; an exhaust turbine provided in the turbine-accommodating chamber so that the axial line of the exhaust turbine is parallel to that of the spiral channel; a shaft that is concentrically connected to one side of the exhaust turbine in the axial line direction; a bearing housing disposed at the side of the exhaust turbine in the axial line direction so as to be adjacent to the exhaust turbine housing; a bearing that is provided in the bearing housing and that rotatably supports the shaft around the axial line; and a heat shield component interposed between the exhaust turbine housing and the bearing housing. The heat shield component constitutes a part disposed near the entrance of the turbine-accommodating chamber, the part being a part of the inner wall surface of the spiral channel. The part composed of the heat shield component, the part being a part of the inner wall surface of the spiral channel, forms a protruding part protruding toward the inside of the channel relative to an upstream part.
