A communication control device used in a terminal device that performs mobile communication is provided. The communication control device controls a communication module of the terminal device to perform direct communication with a different terminal device not via a base station. The communication control device manages whether the communication module is in a search mode or a communication mode, and determines, using information managed, whether a transmission timing of a signal from the communication module determined in accordance with occurrence timing of a transmission event overlaps the search mode. When determining that the transmission timing overlaps the search mode, the communication control device shifts the transmission timing out of the time duration of the search mode.

A mobile object communication system includes a mobile object side device, a service provision device performing a short range wireless communication with the mobile object side device to provide a service to the mobile object side device, and a wide area route provision unit performing a wide area communication with the mobile object side device to provide the service having the same contents as the service provided by the service provision device. The mobile object side device can perform both of the short range wireless communication and the wide area communication, and determines whether the short range wireless communication can be performed with the service provision device. When determining that the short range wireless communication cannot be performed, the service having the same contents is provided by performing the wide area communication with the wide area route provision unit.

A wireless communication device having a wireless receiver and a wireless transmitter includes a control circuit having a processor. The control circuit successively calculates a metrics value indicating a communication success rate with a different wireless communication device based on an electric wave received from the different wireless communication device. A velocity estimation device including an acceleration sensor and a yaw rate sensor is provided. The velocity estimation device determines an initial velocity value of a mobile object based on a velocity estimation expression, an integrated value of acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor, and a relative azimuth calculated from detected yaw rates. The velocity estimation device estimates the velocity of the mobile object based on the initial velocity value and the integrated value of acceleration. In the velocity estimation expression, a magnitude of the velocity vector is constrained by the velocity of the mobile object and a time variation of a direction of the velocity vector is constrained by a time variation of the azimuth of the mobile object in the traveling direction.

A wireless communication device used in a vehicle is provided, includes a communicator that performs wireless communication with a service provider terminal, a vehicle condition acquirer that acquires a condition of the vehicle, a correspondence storage that stores a correspondence of what type of service is available under what condition of the vehicle, and an availability determiner that determines whether the service provided by the service provider terminal is available under the condition of the vehicle acquired by the vehicle condition acquirer, based on service type information included received by the communicator, the condition of the vehicle acquired by the vehicle condition acquirer, and the correspondence stored in the correspondence storage. When the availability determiner determines that the service is unavailable, the communicator does not open a service channel designated by the service provider terminal.

A wireless communication device for vehicles, which is used in a vehicle and is able to designate a plurality of service channels, includes a first wireless receiver, a second wireless receiver, and a reception control unit. The first wireless receiver designates, as a reception channel, a service channel identified from the service channels based on a kind of a service, and receives service execution information to execute the service. The second wireless receiver designates, as a reception channel, a control channel having a frequency channel different from those of the service channels, and receives service announcement information containing channel information. The reception control unit causes the first wireless receiver to set the reception channel based on the channel information contained in the service announcement information received by the second wireless receiver.

Wireless communication device for vehicles and wireless communication system

A communication device is used in a mobile communication system switching alternately two communication time zones of a control channel (CCH) time zone in which communication using a control channel (CCH) is performed and a service channel time zone in which communication using a service channel is performed. A CCH transmission processor section transmits data using the control channel. When a generated data by a data generator section is determined by an importance determiner section to be equivalent to a data having a high-importance level, the generated data is transmitted in the CCH time zone by the CCH transmission processor section. By contrast, when the generated data is determined to be equivalent to a data having a low-importance level, the generated data is transmitted in the SCH time zone by the CCH transmission processor section.

A mobile object communication system includes a mobile object side device used in a mobile object and a service provision device located outside the mobile object. The service provision device performs a communication with the mobile object side device for providing a predetermined service using one of multiple service channels, and transmits, using the control channel, service start information, which is required for starting the communication using the service channel and indicates the service channel used in the communication. The service provision device designates a communication method for performing the communication with the mobile object side device using the service channel indicated by the service start information. The service provision device transmits the service start information designating an immediate start method in a latter half of the control channel time period.

A wireless communication apparatus is provided. The wireless communication apparatus is provided with: a control part performing repetitive transmission of a repetitive signal, that is, a signal that needs to be repeatedly transmitted, from a transmission part in the form of an electric wave; a reception part receiving an electric wave; and a signal collision determination part determining, on the basis of the electric wave received by the reception part while the repetitive signal is being transmitted by the control part, whether or not the repetitive signal transmitted from the transmission part is in collision with a signal transmitted by a different device. When the signal collision determination part has determined that the repetitive signal is in collision with another signal, the control part changes the transmission timing of the repetitive signal.
