An ultrasonic treatment includes: a vibration transmission portion configured to vibrate by receiving ultrasonic waves, and transmit vibration to a treatment target; a sheath that includes a first through hole in which the vibration transmission portion is inserted while a distal end of the vibration transmission portion is exposed, and a second through hole that has a hole shape penetrating in a different direction from a penetration direction of the first through hole; a jaw that includes a first hole portion in which the sheath is inserted and a second hole portion configured to communicate with the second through hole; and a shaft that includes a space in which the vibration transmission portion is inserted, and that allows the jaw to rotate relative to the sheath when the shaft is inserted in the second through hole and the second hole portion.

Ultrasonic treatment tool and method of manufacturing ultrasonic treatment tool

The disclosed technology is directed to a treatment tool comprises a shaft to extend from a proximal-end side toward a distal-end side. A first jaw is disposed on the distal-end portion of the shaft. A second jaw having a gripping surface that faces the first jaw, an opposed back surface of the gripping surface and a first engaging portion. The second jaw is angularly movable about a turn axis of the first engaging portion so as to be opened or closed with respect to the first jaw. A movable shaft having a recess defined in a distal-end and is movable along the longitudinal axis with respect to the shaft for angularly moving the second jaw about the turn axis with respect to the first jaw. A cover having a protrusion that protrudes toward a proximal-end side of the second jaw and a second engaging portion formed on the protrusion.

Treatment tool with jaws

A grasping treatment instrument includes a grasping piece, and a supporting member opening and closing relative to the grasping piece. A clamp member is provided between the supporting member and the grasping piece in open and close directions of the supporting member, and the clamp member includes an opposed surface opposed to the grasping piece, and a back surface facing to an opposite side of the opposed surface. The grasping treatment instrument includes a cover member made of a material having lower thermal conductivity than the clamp member, and the cover member covers the clamp member from the back surface side in a part on a distal side with respect to a position where the clamp member is pivotally supported.

A medical instrument includes: a rod including a curving portion formed on a distal side of an extension along a longitudinal axis and curved with respect to the longitudinal axis; and a sheath including an inner peripheral surface and a cutout, the cutout formed in at least one of a distal portion and a proximal portion of the sheath, the sheath configured to insert the rod along a central axis extending and defined from the distal portion to the proximal portion and to protrude the curving portion from an opening of the inner peripheral surface in the distal portion.

An energy treatment device includes a probe, a sheath unit, a fixed handle, a movable handle unit, a rotation axis, a jaw and a thickness-reduced portion. The thickness-reduced portion is one part of the jaw and is provided between the rotation axis and a distal end of the jaw. The thickness-reduced portion flexes in response to a reaction force when one part of the jaw receives the reaction force from a treatment target due to the opening and closing of the movable handle unit to the treatment target. The thickness-reduced portion prevents the deformation of the other parts of the jaw by flexing.

Endoscope

An endoscope includes a side viewing observation section and a forward viewing observation section provided on a distal end side of an insertion portion which is inserted into an observation target for acquiring subject images of an observation target in a circumferential direction and an insertion direction of the insertion portion, respectively, a shielding section located within a viewing field of the side viewing observation section for shielding light from the subject entering the side viewing observation section and a protruding member protruding from the insertion portion arranged in a shielding region formed by the shielding section. The protruding member includes at least a cleaning nozzle for cleaning the forward viewing observation section and/or the side viewing observation section.

Endoscope apparatus with forward viewing and side viewing

An endoscope system including an endoscope which acquires a front field-of-view image and a lateral field-of-view image of an object of observation; a detecting section which has a function capable of detecting whether a treatment instrument is used or not in the endoscope based on a notification signal which is outputted when the treatment instrument is inserted into the endoscope; and an image processing section. The image processing section generates an observation image including the front field-of-view image and the lateral field-of-view image within the same screen, displays a magnified image of one field-of-view image out of the front field-of-view image and the lateral field-of-view image on a display, and performs adjacent part display processing of displaying only a part of the one field-of-view image which is adjacent to the other field-of-view image or image compression processing of displaying a compressed image of the other field-of-view image on the display.

Endoscope system with front and lateral fields of view

An endoscope system of the present invention has an endoscope which acquires a direct-view field of view image and a side-view field of view image of an object to be observed, a light source apparatus which supplies an illuminating light for illuminating the object to be observed, a detection section which detects a change of a physical quantity with respect to movement of an insertion section provided at the endoscope, which occurs due to an operation of the endoscope, an image processing unit which generates and outputs a video signal including the direct-view field of view image and the side-view field of view image in a same screen, and a light adjustment area selection section which detects a brightness of the direct-view field of view image and a brightness of the side-view field of view image individually, selects a field of view image corresponding to a moving direction in which the change of the physical quantity increases out of the direct-view field of view image and the side-view field of view image as a light adjustment target based on a detection result of the detection section, and performs control so as to make a luminance of the field of view image selected as the light adjustment target relatively higher than a luminance of the other field of view image.
