First no-electrode-forming areas where first wiring electrodes such as internal wiring electrodes and external connection terminals are not formed are set to ranges that overlap inductor components in a plan view of at least one of dielectric layers of a first substrate, and second no-electrode-forming areas where second wiring electrodes such as internal wiring electrodes and mounting electrodes are not formed are set to ranges that overlaps the inductor components in a plan view of at least one of dielectric layers of a second substrate. Accordingly, reduction of the inductance of the inductor components, which is caused by the first and second wiring electrodes crossing the magnetic field of the inductor components, can be suppressed. Therefore, the overall component size can be reduced without deteriorating the Q value of the inductor components by configuring an RF component with a stacking structure.

Radio-frequency (RF) component

An object is to provide a technique that can reduce the degradation in the characteristics of a transmitting filter by improving heat dissipation characteristics of a composite component having a stack structure. Since a transmitting filter is disposed in or on a first substrate, the heat generated in the transmitting filter is efficiently dissipated, for example, to an external module substrateelectrically connected to the first substrate. It is thus possible to reduce changes in the characteristics of the transmitting filter caused by a temperature rise. Thus, by improving heat dissipation characteristics of a composite componenthaving a stack structure, the degradation in the characteristics of the transmitting filter can be reduced.

Composite component and front-end module

Favorable isolation characteristics are obtained over a wide band in a non-reciprocal circuit element. A non-reciprocal circuit element includes: a magnetic materialto which a DC magnetic field is applied by a permanent magnet; and a plurality of center electrodes disposed on the magnetic materialso as to intersect each other in an insulated state. Of the plurality of center electrodes, a first center electrodeis connected at one end thereof to a first input/output port P, and a second center electrodeis connected at one end thereof to a second input/output port P. A resistance element R is connected in series between the ports Pand P, and a phase-shift circuit (a parallel resonant circuit composed of an inductance element Land a capacitance element C) is connected in series with the resistance element R.

Non-reciprocal circuit element

A two-port non-reciprocal circuit element includes a ferrite, a first central electrode disposed on the ferrite and including an end connected to an input port and another end connected to an output port, a second central electrode disposed on the ferrite so as to intersect the first central electrode while being electrically insulated from the first central electrode, the second central electrode including an end connected to the input port and another end connected to a ground port, a capacitor connected between the input port and the output port, a resistor connected between the input port and the output port, a capacitor connected between the output port and the ground port, an input terminal, and an output terminal. A capacitor is connected at least between the input port and the input terminal or between the output port and the output terminal, and a capacitor and an inductor are connected in series between the input terminal and the output terminal.

Two-port non-reciprocal circuit element

A non-reciprocal circuit element includes a permanent magnet, a microwave magnetic body to which a direct current magnetic field is applied by the permanent magnet, a first center electrode that is wrapped around the microwave magnetic body, is connected at one end to an input port, and is connected at another end to an output port, a second center electrode that is wrapped around the microwave magnetic body while intersecting with the first center electrode so as to be insulated from the first center electrode, is connected at one end to the output port, and is connected at another end to a ground port, a first matching capacitance connected between the input port and the output port in parallel with the first center electrode, a terminating resistance connected between the input port and the output port in parallel with the first center electrode, and a second matching capacitance connected between the output port and the ground port. A sub-center electrode is connected in parallel to a portion of the second center electrode.

A nonreciprocal circuit element includes first and second center electrodes. On a ferrite to which a direct-current magnetic field is applied from a permanent magnet, the first and second center electrodes are insulated and intersect. First and second ends of the first center electrode are connected to an input port and an output port, respectively. First and second ends of the second center electrode are connected to the output port and a ground port, respectively. A first matching capacitor and a resistor are connected between the input port and the output port. A second matching capacitor is connected between the output port and the ground port. A parallel resonant circuit is connected in parallel to the resistor. A coupling element is connected between the parallel resonant circuit and another parallel resonant circuit including the first center electrode and the first matching capacitor so as to the parallel resonant circuits.

Nonreciprocal circuit element

A nonreciprocal circuit device includes a ferrite to which a direct magnetic field is applied using permanent magnets, central electrodes arranged on the ferrite, and a circuit substrate. The first central electrode is made of conductive films, and the second central electrode is made of conductive films. Some of the conductive films of the second central electrode are arranged on the first main surface of the ferrite, and a conductive film of the first central electrode is arranged on the conductive films through an insulating film. Furthermore, another one of the conductive films of the first central electrode is arranged on the second main surface, and the remainder of the conductive films of the second central electrode are arranged through an insulating film on the conductive film.

Nonreciprocal circuit device

A two-port non-reciprocal circuit device has one end of a first central electrode electrically connected to an input port and the other end thereof electrically connected to an output port. One end of a second central electrode is electrically connected to the output port and the other end thereof is electrically connected to a ground port. A resonant capacitor and a terminating resistor are electrically connected in parallel between the input port and the output port. A resonant capacitor is electrically connected between the output port and the ground port. Matching capacitors for impedance matching are electrically connected between the input port and an input terminal and between the output port and an output terminal, respectively. A coupling capacitor element is electrically connected between the input terminal and the output terminal.

Two-port non-reciprocal circuit device and communication apparatus

A two-port isolator includes a microwave ferrite member, first and second center electrodes that intersect with each other on the ferrite member with isolation therebetween, a permanent magnet that applies a DC magnetic field to the ferrite member, and a multilayer substrate having center-electrode-connecting electrodes and first and second matching capacitors. The ferrite member, the first and second center electrodes, the permanent magnet, and the multilayer substrate are accommodated in a housing that includes a magnetic cap and a case having a magnetic metal plate molded thereonto. The second matching capacitor has a higher Q factor than the first matching capacitor.

Two-port isolator and communication device

A nonreciprocal circuit device which can be connected to a balanced circuit without going through a balun, and a communication device which includes the nonreciprocal circuit device. An isolator generally includes a circuit board, a lower metal case, a center electrode assembly, an upper metal case, a permanent magnet, a resistor, and matching capacitors. The circuit board comprises an insulating substrate, such as a glass epoxy substrate or a ferrite substrate, on which are formed an unbalanced input terminal, balanced output terminals (i.e., differential output terminals), a grounding terminal, and a half-wave line which interconnects the balanced output terminals.

Nonreciprocal circuit device and communication device having only two ports

A nonreciprocal circuit device miniaturized entirely by reducing the height and the weight can prevent characteristic deterioration. In the nonreciprocal circuit device, a ferrite assembly is formed by winding a quadrangular ferrite plate with insulated copper wires mutually intersecting. The ferrite assembly is arranged perpendicularly to the mounting surface of a mounting substrate. On each side of the ferrite assembly, there is arranged a magnet applying a static magnetic field perpendicularly to main surface of the ferrite plate.

The present invention provides a nonreciprocal circuit device which has solved problems, such as the increase in production cost, the reduction in reliability, and the overall upsizing thereof, which are caused by the mounting of a circuit element having a matching circuit onto a printed board, and also provides a communication apparatus including this nonreciprocal circuit. This nonreciprocal circuit includes a ferrite assembly formed by combining mutually intersecting first and second central conductors and a ferrite, magnets applying an magnetostatic field to this ferrite assembly, and a yoke. Furthermore, circuit elements which are connected to the first and second central conductors and which constitute a matching circuit, are formed in a dielectric laminated substrate, on which the ferrite assembly is mounted.
