When a microcomputer does not charge an electric storage device, the microcomputer activates at an interval set based on a timer set value and determines whether an electric power voltage generated by a solar cell is equal to or higher than an electric power generation determination threshold. When the generated electric power voltage is lower than the electric power generation determination threshold, the microcomputer turns to a sleep state after increasing the timer set value by an addition set value while prohibiting charging the electric storage device. When the generated electric power voltage is equal to or higher than the electric power generation determination threshold and a generated electric power amount is equal to or larger than an electric power generation determination threshold, the microcomputer starts charging the electric storage device so the electric power device can be appropriately charged with an electric power generated by the solar cell.

Charge control device

A solar battery controller is provided which includes a solar battery module that is mounted on a moving object, a control unit that calculates a maximum power point of the solar battery module, and a speed detecting unit that detects a speed of the moving object. The control unit controls a maximum power point calculating timing depending on the speed of the moving object.

When the amount of charge of a temporary battery exceeds a predetermined amount of charge, a solar ECUconstitutes a charge controller pumps up and boosts power stored in the battery collaborating with a solar charger of a power supply portion, and carries out pumping charge in a main electric storage. While the solar ECUcarries out the pumping charge, the power supply portion solar charger supplies the generated power from an in-vehicle solar cell to solar ECUwhen the power generated by the in-vehicle solar cell is a predetermined power or less, and supplies the generated power from an in-vehicle solar cell to solar ECUand main battery when the power generated by the in-vehicle solar cell is larger than the predetermined power. Even where the pumping charge is being carried out, the power which the in-vehicle solar cell is continuously generating can be used without being discarded futilely.

Charge control device using an in-vehicle solar cell

A control device which performs at least MPPT control of output of a solar cell mounted in a vehicle includes a determination unit that determines whether the vehicle is in a travelling state or a stationary state. Different methods are applied when the vehicle is determined to be in the travelling state and in the stationary state respectively.

Control device for in-vehicle solar cell

A solar ECU included in a charging controller is configured to temporarily store electric power generated by an in-vehicle solar cell of an electric power supply unit in a low-voltage battery when a vehicle is traveling. Further, when the vehicle is traveling, a battery ECU included in the charging controller is configured to maintain a charging relay in an open state (disconnected state) so that the electric power temporarily stored in the low-voltage battery is not supplied to a main battery. On the other hand, when the vehicle is traveling, the solar ECU supplies the electric power temporarily stored in the low-voltage battery to a sub-battery.

Charging control device using in-vehicle solar cell

An on-vehicle travel distance output apparatus for a vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle including a battery and a travel motor that generate, based on electric power of the battery, a drive force for the travel of the vehicle, wherein the battery is chargeable based on electric power from a first charge source as well as electric power from a second charge source. The on-vehicle travel distance output apparatus includes a processing device that calculates a first travel distance of the vehicle over which the vehicle travels based on the electric power of the battery obtained from the first charge source and a second travel distance of the vehicle over which the vehicle travels based on the electric power of the battery obtained from the second charge source to output the calculated first and second travel distances.

On-vehicle travel distance output apparatus

The invention can provide a miniaturized noise filter. The noise filter for reducing noise comprises a coil with a conductive wire () wound around a core (); a case () formed of an insulating material receiving the coil; a bracket () of a magnetic material forming a flux path of magnetic flux generated from the coil, which places the case thereon, which has a pair of end plates () disposed opposite to both ends of the core of the coil respectively through a gap of a predetermined distance, and which has a bottom plate () disposed between the pair of the end plates; and an input/output terminal () for the coil.

Noise filter

An elastic member made of a metallic conductor is installed inside a main body. A contact head made of a conductor is pressed by a force exerted from the elastic member against an object to be contacted. The contact head is connected to a wire constituting a part of an electric conduction path. An insulator for breaking electric continuity between the elastic member and the contact head is inserted between the elastic member and the contact head. In addition to establishing electrical continuity with the object to be contacted using the wire and the contact head rather than the elastic member, the elastic member is insulated from the contact head and placed apart from the contact head to suppress parasitic capacitance between the elastic member and the contact head.
