A high-frequency receiver alleviates an influence of adjacent interference waves in a location where an identical set of broadcast channels can be received with different broadcast waves which are broadcast or relayed in frequency bands different from one another by satellites and ground repeater(s). The I and Q signals are passed to a pair of variable LPFs. A demodulation unit is provided for each of said different broadcast waves to demodulate the I and Q signals derived from the broadcast wave into a demodulated signal. One of the demodulated signals which has a better reception quality is selected for output. Based on a reception level and a noise evaluation information (e.g., the bit error rate) for a selected demodulated signal, a controller controls the bandwidths of the variable LPFs so as to optimize the reception level and the noise evaluation information for the selected demodulated signal.

High-frequency receiver and adjacent interference wave reducing method

The system controllerattains program table data from a received electric wave upon turning on the power source. Program table data are rearranged for every ensemble and stored again. The user makes an input operation to set a channel-feed selection which requires switching of a program to be attained. Then, the system controllerperforms a processing of attaining a program listed next in the same ensemble as that of the program which has been attained just before based on the rearranged program table data. When attaining a program next to a program listed in the last, the ensemble is switched to another ensemble. Programs are attained sequentially from the program listed first in the another ensemble thus switched. Switching to a different ensemble takes place at a reduced frequency, so that the time until output of an attained program can be shortened.

Receiver, method thereof, program thereof, recording medium recording the program, and communication system

A receivable service is selected from each ensemble of a digital broadcast, and the error rate of the selected service is measured. Only a service belonging to an ensemble containing a service which satisfies a predetermined reference value is searched and preset. A service belonging to an ensemble containing a service with a low error rate is searched and preset, with priority over a service belonging to an ensemble containing a service with a high error rate. The reception level of a receivable service may be used instead of the error rate as the selection reference for processing.

Digital broadcast receiving apparatus

An information communication terminal apparatus which is capable of performing search processing or preset processing for received services within a short period of time. There is provided an identifier which specifies an attribute of a service to be included for the search processing or the preset processing. A table in which the attributes of the received services are registered is searched through based on the identifier. The search processing or the preset processing is performed only for those services that match with the identifier.

Information communication terminal apparatus

An intermediate frequency signal S is demodulated and the noise component contained in a null portion (no-signal portion) is detected as the noise component contained in a signal of the sub-carrier frequencies. The frequency f of a reference frequency signal LO of a local oscillator is feedback-controlled in accordance with the noise component thus detected. Further, the frequency f of the reference frequency signal LO is feedback-controlled in accordance with an error rate detected by an error correction section . Thus, the sub-carriers within the intermediate frequency signal S subjected to the frequency conversion by a mixer based on the reference frequency signal LO thus feedback-controlled is separated from the noise component on the frequency axis. The intermediate frequency signal S is subjected to the Fourier transformation by a digital mixer/FFT calculation section , so that the noise component can be suppressed.

Receiving apparatus

A receiver for digital broadcasting is provided that simultaneously receives a plurality of broadcast waves. When the receiver is powered on, a digital broadcast wave of a ground wave system having the smallest amount of interleaving that has been performed on transmission data is selected for reproduction. If the reception state of the above broadcast wave is not good or when a prescribed time has elapsed from the time the receiver is powered-on, a switch is made to a broadcast wave of the reception system that was selected when the power was last turned off.

Receiver for digital broadcasting

A recording apparatus records information, which is continuously inputted from the external, onto a record medium. The recording apparatus is provided with: a compressing device for compressing the record information; a first memory for temporarily storing the compressed record information; an optical pickup for writing and reading the compressed record information onto and from the record medium; a control device for controlling the optical pickup to periodically write the compressed record information from the first memory by a predetermined data volume onto the record medium, to stop writing in a record stop duration, and to read the compressed record information from the record medium as compressed reproduction information in the record stop duration; a second memory for storing the compressed reproduction information; and a judgement device for judging whether or not the compressed reproduction information stored in the second memory is coincident with the compressed record information stored in the first memory.
