A mixed reality content providing apparatus is disclosed. The mixed reality content providing apparatus may recognize an OOI included in a 360-degree VR image to generate metadata of the OOI and may provide a user with mixed reality content where the metadata is overlaid on the 360-degree VR image.

Apparatus and method for providing mixed reality content

Provided is a directional backlight unit. The directional backlight unit includes a source light unit configured to generate dot source light, a linear source light generator configured to separate a plurality of source lights, which are output in a direction vertical to a line type output surface, from the dot source light according to different grating periods and generate the separated plurality of source lights as linear source lights, and a light guide panel configured to output backlight, which has a form of flat source lights and includes the plurality of source lights, in a direction vertical to a plate type output surface according to the different grating periods. The linear source light generator includes an incident surface on which the dot source light is incident and the line type output surface on which a plurality of grating patterns having the different grating periods are provided.

A display device includes a display panel, and a depth perception adjusting unit for adjusting a depth perception, based on polarization characteristics of light output from the display panel, wherein the depth perception adjusting unit includes a directional mirror and a reflective polarizer. Provided is a directional backlight unit that enables a three-dimensional (3D) image to be viewed at various viewing angles. The directional backlight unit includes a light source configured to emit light, a first reflector configured to reflect light emitted from the light source, a second reflector configured to additionally reflect the light reflected by the first reflector, a light guide plate configured to accommodate the light reflected by the first reflector or the second reflector and output the light to an outside, and an angle adjustor configured to rotate the first reflector or the second reflector to a reflective angle. The angle adjustor rotates the first reflector or the second reflector to change an incident angle of the light incident on the light guide plate and a refractive angle of the light output to the outside.

The present invention provides a wavelength selective optical focusing device using the cladding-etching of an optical fiber and an optical module using the same. The wavelength selective optical focusing device includes a core for transmitting an optical signal therethrough; and a cladding layer surrounding the core and having a plurality of grooves formed in the outer circumferential surface thereof such that the grooves are changed at a designated rate, wherein an optical signal having a designated wavelength guided by the core is focused to the outside of the cladding layer by the grooves.
