A display device and a method of driving the display device are provided. The threshold voltage of a driving transistor is compensated such that even when the threshold voltage of the driving transistor is varied, the emission of light with respect to a predetermined data voltage occurs with a predetermined luminance, based on a diode-connected compensation transistor and a plurality of switching transistors.

A liquid crystal display device includes; a plurality of data lines disposed on a substrate, a plurality of gate lines disposed substantially perpendicular to the data lines, wherein the data lines and the gate lines together surround a plurality of pixel regions, a plurality of power supplying lines disposed substantially parallel to the data lines, a plurality of pixel electrode pairs, wherein each of the pixel electrode pairs includes a first and a second pixel electrode respectively disposed in each pixel region, and a pixel driving circuit including at least one transistor and a plurality of storage capacitors in each pixel region, wherein the pixel electrode pairs have portions where the pixel electrode pairs and at least one of the plurality of data lines and the plurality of power supplying lines are vertically aligned with each other, and the storage capacitors are disposed at the vertically aligned portions.

Liquid crystal display device and method of manufacturing the same

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a display device. In an embodiment, the display device includes a scanning signal line for transferring a scanning signal, a data line crossing the scanning signal line and transferring a data voltage, a switching transistor connected to the scanning signal line and the data line, a driving transistor connected to the switching transistor, a first transistor connected between the driving transistor and a driving voltage terminal, and a light-emitting element connected between the driving transistor and a common voltage terminal. The first transistor operates in a saturation region, and the driving transistor operates in a linear region. In this way, display characteristics may be improved by reducing deviation of a driving current due to deviation of characteristics of a driving transistor or a driving voltage.

Display device

An output part outputs a high voltage of a first clock signal as a high voltage of an (m)-th gate signal ('m' is a natural number) and a low voltage in response to a high signal of an (m+1)-th gate signal outputted from an (m+1)-th stage. A first maintenance part maintains a control part of the pull-up part at a low voltage in response to an (m&#x2212;1)-th node signal or an (m+1)-th node signal lower than a high signal of a second clock signal having a phase opposite to the phase of the first clock signal received from an (m&#x2212;1)-th stage or the (m+1)-th stage. A second maintenance part maintains the low voltage of the (m)-th gate signal in response to the (m&#x2212;1)-th node signal or the (m+1)-th node signal.

Gate driving circuit and display device having the gate driving circuit

A display substrate includes a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode. The first pixel electrode includes a plurality of first electrode bars. A data line provides a data voltage to the first pixel electrode. The second pixel electrode includes a plurality of second electrode bars alternately disposed with the first electrode bars. A first power line is formed adjacent to a gate line to provide a first voltage to the second pixel electrode. A second power line crosses the first power line and is electrically connected to the first power line. A first switching element is electrically connected to the data line, the gate line and the first pixel electrode. A second switching element is electrically connected to the first power line, the gate line and the second pixel electrode.
