A display device including a first substrate including pixel electrodes arranged in first and second directions, each pixel electrode including a unit pixel electrode, a second substrate including a common electrode on which an opening pattern is formed, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The unit pixel electrode includes a central electrode portion including diagonal sides, connection sides, a cross slit extending in the first and second directions, and central branch slits extending from the cross slit, and a branch electrode portion including branch electrodes protruding from each of the diagonal sides, in which the connection sides includes first and second connection sides extending in the first and second directions, and the central electrode portion has first outer areas adjacent to the first connection sides and on which first control slits extending in the first direction are respectively formed.

Display device

A display apparatus includes a pixel connected to a data line. The pixel includes a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode spaced apart from the first pixel electrode in an extension direction of the data line. The second pixel electrode includes first to fourth stem portions. The third and fourth stem portions are further from the first pixel electrode than the first and second stem portions in the extension direction. The first and second stem portions are connected to one another to form a 'V'-shaped structure. The third and fourth stem portions are connected to one another to form an inverted 'V'-shaped structure.

Display apparatus

A display panel may include a first signal line extending in a first direction, a second signal line extending in the first direction and being spaced apart from the first signal line when viewed in a plan view, a first thin-film transistor connected to the first signal line, a second thin-film transistor connected to the second signal line, and a first liquid crystal capacitor and a second liquid crystal capacitor respectively connected to the first thin-film transistor and the second thin-film transistor and arranged in the first direction. Each of the first signal line and the second signal line may overlap the pixel electrode of the first liquid crystal capacitor, when viewed in a plan view, and may be disposed to be closer to the vertical portion than to an outer edge of the pixel electrode.

Display panel having liquid crystal capacitor and signal lines

A liquid crystal display is provided. The liquid crystal display includes a pair of substrates; and a pixel electrode and a common electrode provided on the pair of substrates and facing each other. The pixel electrode includes: a cross pattern at a center thereof; a plate electrode surrounding the cross pattern; and a plurality of minute branch electrodes extending in a diagonal direction outward from the plate electrode. A partial extension structure of the plate electrode is formed in at least a partial boundary region located between the plate electrode and the plurality of minute branch electrodes.

Liquid crystal display

A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate on which a pixel electrode is formed, a second substrate on which a common electrode is formed and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The pixel electrode includes a first plate electrode, a first slit pattern which is a hole formed in the first plate electrode and includes a cross-shaped stem slit and a plurality of branch slits extending in both directions from the stem slit, and a plurality of branch electrodes which protrude from outer side portions of the first plate electrode. The common electrode includes a second plate electrode and a second slit pattern formed in the second plate electrode and including a plurality of holes arranged in a rhombus form.

Liquid crystal display device

Provided is a liquid-crystal display (LCD) device. The LCD device includes: one pair of substrates; and a pixel electrode and a common electrode that are provided on the one pair of substrates to respectively face each other, wherein the pixel electrode includes: one pair of plate electrodes in which a horizontal slit and a plurality of first vertical slits that cross the horizontal slit are formed and that are divided by the horizontal slit and surround both sides of a cross pattern formed by the horizontal slit and the plurality of first vertical slits; and a plurality of fine branch electrodes that are obliquely formed to be connected to the plate electrode at a portion of the cross pattern including a point at which the horizontal slit and the first vertical slit cross each other, wherein one pixel region includes a first subpixel area and a second subpixel area that are divided by the horizontal slit.
