A display device includes: a display panel; a lower frame including a bottom portion and side portions; a light source unit extending along a first side portion of the lower frame; a light guide plate including a light opposing surface opposing a light incident surface in a first direction; a first auxiliary frame in the lower frame to restrict movement of the light incident surface in the first direction; a second auxiliary frame fixable to the bottom portion of the lower frame to restrict movement of the light opposing surface in the first direction; and a coupling member with which the second auxiliary frame is fixed to the lower frame. The second auxiliary frame includes a through hole through which the coupling member is extendable, and a width of a head portion of the coupling member is larger than a width of the through hole.

Light guide plate position fixing frame and display device having the same

A display device includes a display panel curved with respect to a plane defined by a first direction and a second direction crossing the first direction and about a first reference axis substantially parallel to the first direction, a light guide plate disposed under the display panel and including a first surface facing the display panel and a second surface facing the display panel such that the first surface is disposed between the second surface and the display panel, a light source which provides a light to the light guide plate, and a bottom chassis which accommodates the light guide plate and the light source. The first surface is curved with respect to the plane about a second reference axis substantially parallel to the first direction, and the second surface is substantially parallel to the plane.

A light guide unit includes: a light guide plate curved about a center of curvature, and including a first outer circumferential surface and a first inner circumferential surface disposed closer to the center of curvature than the first outer circumferential surface; and a restoring force-offset layer coupled to at least one of the first outer circumferential surface and the first inner circumferential surface. The light guide plate includes a first material having a first thermal expansion coefficient, and the restoring force-offset layer includes a material having a thermal expansion coefficient different from the first thermal expansion coefficient to offset a restoring force of the light guide plate.

Curved light guide unit and display device having low restoring force

A display device includes a curved display panel, a light source unit, a curved light guide plate, a support frame disposed under the light guide plate and including a curved upper surface, a first magnetic member disposed at at least one edge of the upper surface of the support frame, and a second magnetic member disposed at at least one edge of a surface facing the upper surface of the light guide plate and facing the first magnetic member.

A display device includes: a display panel; a light source configured to provide light to the display panel; a bottom chassis on which the light source is disposed; a mold frame coupled to the bottom chassis and comprising a projection; and a light conversion sheet disposed between the display panel and the bottom chassis. The light conversion sheet may have, at an edge portion thereof, a coupling hole into which the projection is inserted.
