A device may include a vehicle component including a contoured body surface. A device may include a vent patch attached to and adapted to conform to the contoured body surface.

Vehicle vent patches

Vent patch systems are provided for motor vehicles. The vent patch systems may be configured for ultrasonically cleaning a vent patch of a vehicle component, thereby preserving/restoring air circulation through the vehicle component and reducing condensation build-up. An exemplary vent patch system may include a vent patch and an ultrasonic device. The ultrasonic device can be controlled to induce movement (e.g., vibration) of the vent patch in order to remove dirt and other debris that could otherwise inhibit proper air circulation through the vehicle component.

A sensor apparatus includes a sensor including a sensor lens, an air nozzle fixed relative to the sensor lens and positioned to direct airflow out of the air nozzle across the sensor lens, and a fin positioned inside the air nozzle. The fin is rotatably coupled to the air nozzle and rotatable relative to the air nozzle around an axis of rotation. The fin is elongated radially from the axis of rotation. The fin is rotatable between a first position impeding airflow through the air nozzle and a second position permitting airflow through the air nozzle.

Sensor apparatus with cleaning

A sensor assembly includes a housing including an outlet. The sensor assembly includes a sensor window, the sensor window fixed relative to the housing, and the outlet aimed across the sensor window. The sensor assembly includes a flap rotatably coupled to the housing at the outlet. The sensor assembly includes a deflector covering the flap. The flap is disposed between the outlet and the deflector and rotatable toward and away from the deflector.

A cleaning assembly includes a first reservoir, a second reservoir, a first pump positioned to pump fluid out of the first reservoir, a second pump positioned to pump fluid out of the second reservoir, a connecting hose fluidly connecting the first reservoir and the second reservoir, and a third pump positioned to control fluid flow through the connecting hose. The third pump is operable to pump fluid from the first reservoir to the second reservoir, and the third pump is operable to pump fluid from the second reservoir to the first reservoir.

Cleaning assembly for vehicle sensors

Upon determining an autonomous mode for a vehicle is activated, a motor is actuated to move a wiper across a windshield in a low mode based on determining to clean the windshield. A blower is actuated to direct air across a sensor. Then, after expiration of a first timer, a pump is actuated according to a pressure threshold to direct fluid through a fluid nozzle and across the windshield towards the sensor. The pressure threshold specifies a fluid pressure less than a maximum fluid pressure for the pump. The pump is stopped after expiration of a second timer.

A vehicle includes a windshield having a top edge. The vehicle includes a roof extending rearward from the top edge of the windshield. The vehicle includes a sensor assembly supported by the roof, the sensor assembly including at least one of a LIDAR sensor or a camera. The vehicle includes a deflector movable from a lowered position to a raised position and supported by the roof at the top edge of the windshield forward of and spaced from the sensor assembly.

A vehicle assembly includes a housing, a manifold, a plurality of valves, and a cover. The housing includes a panel, and the panel includes a channel integral to the panel. The manifold is disposed in the channel, and the manifold includes a plurality of outlets. The valves are attached to the manifold, and the valves selectively control flow to the outlets. The cover extends over the manifold, the cover is fixed to the panel, and the cover holds the valves in place.

Vehicle assembly for sensor cleaning

An assembly includes a lamp housing defining an interior cavity and at least one light component positioned within the interior cavity. At least one first turbulation feature is associated with the lamp housing and at least one second turbulation feature is associated with the at least one light component. The at least one first turbulation feature and the at least one second turbulation feature cooperate with each other to increase turbulent air flow within the interior cavity.

A sensor assembly includes a housing mountable to a vehicle and a sensor mounted to the housing on top of the housing. The housing includes a front panel. The front panel includes a front surface on an exterior of the housing. The front surface is concave along a vertical axis and concave along a horizontal axis orthogonal to the vertical axis. The front surface is wider than the sensor along the horizontal axis.

A sensor assembly includes a base, a housing mounted to the base and rotatable relative to the base around an axis in a direction of rotation, a sensing apparatus inside the housing and rotatable with the housing, and a sensor window extending from a point on the housing in a direction that is radially outward and circumferential relative to the axis. The sensor window is flat. The sensing apparatus has a field of view through the sensor window. An exterior surface of the sensor window faces in a direction that is radially outward and circumferentially in the direction of rotation relative to the axis.

Rotating sensor assembly

A vehicle wash system includes a manifold having pump compartments separated by dividers. The manifold is constructed of an electrically conductive material to shield electromagnetic fields. A pump is disposed within each compartment and configured to generate the electromagnetic fields when activated. A power connector is coupled to the manifold. The power connector is configured to power each pump and is a common ground for the manifold. An upper level sensor is proximate to the manifold. A lower level sensor is proximate to the manifold. The upper level sensor and the lower level sensor are configured to sense fluid level in a washer bottle.

Vehicle wash assembly

A sensor assembly includes a base and a sensor housing mounted to the base. The sensor housing is rotatable relative to the base about an axis. The sensor housing includes a top panel having an exterior surface. A plurality of fins are disposed on the exterior surface and are fixed relative to the sensor housing. The fins extend radially outward relative to the axis.

A sensor apparatus includes a cylindrical sensor window defining an axis oriented vertically, and a sensor-housing top mounted on the sensor window. The sensor-housing top includes a top surface and a wall. The axis intersects the top surface. The wall extends upward from the top surface and is elongated circumferentially partially around the top surface. The top surface includes a plurality of parallel ridges elongated from the wall.

Sensor-drainage apparatus

An assembly includes a housing. The assembly includes a sensor supported by the housing. The assembly includes a shell enclosing the sensor and rotatable relative to the housing in a first direction, the shell defining a window. The assembly includes a deflector extending radially outward from the shell at a leading edge of the window.
