A rotary compressor is provided that may include a cylinder having an inner peripheral surface; a roller; and a plurality of vanes slidably inserted into the plurality of vane slots to rotate together with the roller, front end surfaces of which come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder due to the back pressure to partition the compression space into a plurality of compression chambers. The cylinder may further include a suction flow path for refrigerant that may include a suction port that communicates with the compression space to suction the refrigerant in a lateral direction, and a suction passage disposed in a direction that crosses the suction port to provide communication between the compression space and the suction port.

Rotary compressor

A rotary compressor may include an outflow passage through which refrigerant flows out of a compression space. The outflow passage may include at least one first outflow guide portion disposed in a main bearing or a sub bearing, at least one second outflow guide portion formed through between both axial ends of a roller, and at least one third outflow guide portion disposed in a bearing opposite to the bearing with the at least one first outflow guide portion based on the roller. This may minimize an amount of refrigerant remaining in the compression space. A pressure difference on a front of a vane may also be eliminated, which may suppress or prevent vane jumping. As the outflow passage is periodically opened, refrigerant leakage may be suppressed or prevented during a compression stroke.

A laundry treating apparatus may include a drum in which laundry is stored, an air flow passage through which air is circulated, and a heating duct configured to supply hot air to the drum. The air flow passage and heating duct may be configured to prevent or reduce or cooling or condensing of moisture in the circulated air. A steam compressor may be provided to compress some of the air flowing through the air flow passage.

Laundry treating apparatus

A rotary compressor: a casing; a plurality of bearings provided in an internal space of the casing; at least one cylinder provided between the bearings to form a compression space and has a vane slot; a rolling piston accommodated in the compression space to perform an orbiting movement; at least one vane that is slidably inserted into the vane slot of the cylinder, the at least one vane configured to separate the compression space into a suction chamber and a discharge chamber; a discharge cover including a noise reducing space to accommodate refrigerant discharged from the compression space; and a bypass flow path that allows the noise reducing space of the discharge cover to be connected between a sidewall of the vane slot and a side of the vane facing the sidewall.

A rotary compressor includes a cylinder with a vane slot and a suction port. A vane is slidably disposed in the vane slot. The suction port guides fluid to a compression chamber at one circumferential end of the vane slot. The suction port may be formed in a recessed manner in a radial direction such that at least an end of the suction port in contact with an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder forms a slot shape extending between opposite axial side surfaces of the cylinder. A circumferential length of the suction port is reduced from conventional suction ports as a result of the slot configuration, thereby advancing the compression start angle, and a partition wall portion between the suction port and the vane slot may have elasticity, thereby suppressing close contact between the vane and the vane slot.
