A method for operating a network, such as an automation network, for example, has multiple node devices provided that are networked to one another. There is a global time available, and the node devices record their operating parameters. The operating parameters are allocated to a respective address element as content elements in order to be stored in a tensorial database structure. Control or adaptation of the operation of the network with its node devices and couplings is facilitated thereby. The method is suitable particularly for use in supply networks, automated production installations, communication networks, transport networks and logistical networks. The proposed storing allows easy visualisation, depiction and evaluation of operating states of the network and of its node devices.

Method for operating a network having multiple node devices, and network

A method and apparatus for automatic recognition of similarities between perturbations in a network, the apparatus includes a memory unit for storing a first data array of multiple perturbation data snapshots each recorded in response to a perturbation observed in the network; a generation unit adapted to generate by machine learning a data model of perturbations trained on the first data array, wherein the trained data model provides a latent vector representation for each of the perturbations; a recording unit adapted to record a perturbation data snapshot if a perturbation is observed during operation of said network and adapted to provide a corresponding second data array for the recorded perturbation data snapshot; and a processing unit adapted to derive a latent vector representation for the observed perturbation from the second data array using the trained data model of perturbations.

Method and apparatus for automatic recognition of similarities between perturbations in a network

A method for operating a local area data network with a plurality of network nodes is disclosed, wherein the network nodes send requests to the data network using request values and each of the network nodes has an associated explicit identifier from a key space. A plurality of network nodes respectively has an associated one or more table entries in a value table distributed over the network nodes. In this case each table entry includes a request value having data associated with the key space and with the request value, the network node being responsible for a request value whose identifier is less than or equal to the request value. For the plurality of network nodes, the frequency with which requests for the request values associated with a respective network node are sent to the respective network node is respectively monitored. If it occurs that the frequency of the requests for one or more request values to a respective network node exceeds a predetermined threshold value then at least the table entry or entries for this or these request values are assigned to at least one other network node which is situated in a request path for the request.

Method for operating a local area data network

A method for operating a dezentralized communication network with network nodes is provided. The method is based on protocols in conventional peer-to-peer networks. The method provides rapid searching of resources whereby each network node manages a table containing information regarding all the other network nodes, such that a network that contains the resource is immediately retrieved among the table entries. Furthermore, the table contains device names of technical components on which the network nodes are mapped, so that a technical component is directly addressed also via its device name without use of the search process.

Method for operating a distributed communications network

A method for detecting errors in a networked embedded system having a multiplicity of components. Error and/or diagnostic data which are relevant to a component are stored in a set of further components of the networked embedded system and are determined if necessary (for example if a disturbance, error or failure occurs). This method is used, in particular, to find error and/or diagnostic data relating to a failed component of a networked embedded system.
