The present invention concerns a metal-oxygen battery containing, as the electrolyte, a monophasic electrolytic solvent medium having at least an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal supporting salt, preferably a lithium salt; a fluorocarbon solvent having an oxygen solubility at least equal to 30% v/v; 10 to 60% by volume of at least fluorinated solubilizing agent; and a carbonate solvent. The invention relates to an electrode for a lithium battery that contains LiFePOas electrochemically active material and a binder consisting of polyacrylic acid.
