A method for providing scripts for execution as part of an electronic transaction includes: storing, in a memory of an integrated circuit payment card, at least one or more executable scripts, payment credentials, and a cryptogram rule; receiving, by a receiving device of the integrated circuit payment card, a transaction request from a point of sale device, wherein the transaction request includes at least one or more transaction items and a script request; generating, by a generation module of the integrated circuit payment card, at least one payment cryptogram based on at least the cryptogram rule and at least one of the one or more transaction items; and electronically transmitting, by a transmitting device of the integrated circuit payment card, at least one of the one or more executable scripts, the payment credentials, and the generated at least one payment cryptogram to the point of sale device.

Method and system for issuer-defined prompts and data collection

According to some embodiments, systems and methods are provided comprising searching, with a searching device, on a local network for the target device, wherein the digital wallet is an electronically stored registered card based account for use in electronic commercial transactions, and wherein the entire digital wallet is absent from the target device prior to the search; selecting at the searching device one or more target devices; and pushing the digital wallet to the target device, including digital wallet functionality, to the target device selected at the searching device by a user to establish the digital wallet at the target device, without having to enter information at the target device to create a new digital wallet at the target device. System and method for disseminating functionality to a target device

A transaction processing system for sending user information data to a personal device, and an associated method are provided. The system comprises: a personal device, such as a balance display card; an interface device, such as a card reader for transmitting data to and from the card; a communications network connecting to the interface device; an issuer processor connected to the communications network; and a trusted network processor (TNP) processor connected to the communications network, interposed between the interface device and the issuer processor. The TNP processor is arranged to receive a transaction request message from a card user and to transmit a response message back to the personal device, the response message typically being a transaction authorization together with information for display on the card. The TNP processor is arranged to identify, dependent on properties of the transaction request message, whether the associated response message will require data to be sent to the user information device, and if so identified, to: route the transaction request message to the issuer processor using a standard message; receive the required data from the issuer processor using another standard message; match the received required data to the original request; generate an appropriate response message and script containing the required data; and transmit the response message back to the personal device thereby making the required information known to the user.

Delivery of information services to personal devices

Methods and systems for generating consumer payment credentials using an Internet-connected appliance. In an embodiment, a primary Internet-connected appliance receives purchase transaction information from a secondary appliance. The process also includes generating a purchase transaction authorization request based on purchase transaction information and on payment account credential data that is stored locally in a dedicated storage element, transmitting the purchase transaction authorization request via the Internet to a gateway server computer, receiving a purchase transaction authorization response, and transmitting the purchase transaction authorization response via a domestic network to the secondary appliance for display to a consumer.

According to a first aspect there is provided a method of controlling transfer of electrical power, said method comprising: in response to formation of an electrical power transfer connection between an electrical power supply network and an electrical device, controlling electrical power transfer through said connection according to the contents, presence or absence of a message received over the connection from said device comprising one or more credentials. Controlling transfer of electrical power

A secure payment system comprises a merchant POS client and a remote POS server. The merchant POS client comprises a reading device for reading a customer user token and for accepting transaction details and customer verification data, and also a computing device with access to a communications network and in communication with the reading device. The merchant POS client also comprises a merchant token associated with the remote POS server. The remote POS server is in communication with the merchant POS client through the communications network, and one or more elements of the merchant POS client business logic are assured by the remote POS server and not the merchant POS client. A merchant token for use in such a merchant POS client is described, as is a suitable reader device, and a method of conducting a transaction using such a payment system.

Display card with user interface

A point of sale (POS) terminal is programmed to execute EMV transactions by interaction with payment devices in accordance with a standard EMV transaction flow. An EMV transaction is commenced at the POS terminal with a particular payment device. The POS terminal receives a request from the payment device to interrupt the EMV transaction. The POS terminal responds to the request by interrupting the EMV transaction and taking an action indicated by the request. The action is not required for execution of the standard EMV transaction flow.
