The invention relates to a quick-release fastener () of the ball-pin type, consisting of a tubular body () provided with a radial opening (), an enlarged head (), a rod () that can move axially within the body and through the head, a ball () capable of moving radially between a released position in which it rests in a reduced cross-section () of the rod () inside the body and a locked position in which it protrudes radially beyond the body through the radial opening (), and a lever () that pivots about a pin (), which lever includes at least one cam surface () that is in contact with the head. The rotational actuation of the lever draws the rod toward the head and causes the ball to move into the released position.

Quick-release fastener

The invention refers to a family of fastening devices including at least two fastening elements (), each one of said elements including a shaped end portion (), a frontal face () of the shaped end portion () having a cavity () extending as far as a bottom (), the fastening elements having different maximum grips (Gmax), the family being configured so that the distance () between the bottom () of the cavity () and the limit () between the body and the shaped end portion is identical for all the fastening elements (). The invention refers moreover to a unit () including such a family of fastening devices and a check gauge (), as well as a method for checking of the choice of the length of a fastening element (), by means of the check gauge ().
