Low spatial frequencies of an original image and an upscaled filtered image are analyzed. Differences will be observed in the low frequency components of the two images in the general case since the pixel art upscaler filter as a side effect introduces low frequency changes. A modification to images produced by the PAU is applied to attempt to match the brightness of the original images in the low frequency spectrum. From a viewer perspective (e.g., based on typical blurring visual effects), the original image and the modified filtered image will look the same&#x2014;demonstrating that there is no low frequency brightness creep or resulting increased photosensitivity concerns.

Real time compensation of the colorimetry of an image projected on a non-uniform projection surface is disclosed. The projected image is captured and coefficients of a simplified model of the projection surface are estimated by minimizing the distance between the captured image and a target image obtained from the original image.

In an example display device for displaying a stereoscopic image, plural stereoscopic pixels composed of pixels for right eye and pixels for left eye are arranged in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction. The present invention concerns a method and a device for estimating the value of an input in a real-time system. It concerns more particularly real time interactive systems where the input is tracked using a first sensor, typically a camera in presence of a perturbing factor. The perturbing factor is estimated using a second sensor. The component of input computed values due to the perturbing factor are cancelled based on this estimation. A next input value is then estimated from the previous computed input values where the perturbing factor has been cancelled. The estimation is then corrected by applying back the estimation of the perturbing factor.

As a result, when face detection has been successful, the face detection process is continued with emission of the infrared light stopped, and when face detection has been failure, the infrared light is emitted and the face detection process is continued.
