Elevator door coupling systems are described. The systems include a car door lock having a coupling element and a lock element, the lock element operably connected to a latch for locking the car door lock and a landing door lock having a movable plate, a first contact element mounted to the movable plate and configured to engage with the coupling element and a second contact element configured to engage with the lock element. In operation, the coupling element is operable to apply force to the first contact element and cause the movable plate to rotate and as the movable plate rotates, the second contact element applies force to the lock element to urge the latch from a locked position to an unlocked position.

Elevator landing door unlocking system

Elevator car door systems are provided. The systems include an elevator car having a car door and a movable car door coupling attached to the car and arranged to control operation of the car door. A mounting bracket is attached to the car, a first blade is attached to the mounting bracket, a second blade is attached to the mounting bracket, and a deterrent is attached to the mounting bracket. The first and second blades are operable a landing door coupling to operate the car door. A portion of the movable car door coupling is arranged to contact a ceiling of an elevator shaft during an overrun event when and move a part of the movable car door coupling relative to the car, and when the portion is not in contact with the ceiling, a biasing element urges the portion toward a normal position.

Elevator car door coupling systems

Elevator access systems are provided. The elevator access systems include a bushing having a keyway, a plunger disposed within the bushing and movable relative thereto, a lever operably connected to the plunger, and a removable plug located within the keyway of the bushing, wherein the removable plug urges the plunger and the lever into a first position, and upon removal of the removable plug, the plunger and the lever move to a second position, wherein in the second position the plunger is accessible to operate the lever.

Elevator access systems for elevators

Elevator access systems and methods including a key extension having a first portion arranged to engage with a key and a second portion and an access mechanism. The access mechanism includes an extension engagement element arranged to receive and fixedly engage with the second portion of the key extension and an opening element operably connected to the extension engagement element such that operation of the extension engagement element causes operation of the opening element.
